BMW to Recall 1 Million Vehicles for Fire Risk
Reuters reports that BMW is recalling approximately 1 million vehicles for two separate issues that involve fire risks. Although the recall is currently limited to the North American market, BMW AG says that the recall may spread to other markets globally.

Toyota Motor Philippines is Launching the Supra on July 9 and Prices Start at P 4.990M
The Toyota Supra is finally arriving this Tuesday, July 9. After being previewed in a rather unceremonious manner at the Vios Racing Festival, likely done so just to beat BMW Philippines’s launch of the Z4 that happened a few days after, the flagship sportscar will be getting the full-blown launch it deserves.

The 2022 Toyota GR 86 is Basically a Subaru BRZ
In the lead up to the launch of the Toyota GR 86, it was reported that Toyota President Akio Toyoda wasn’t too pleased that his company’s brand-new sportscar because it felt too much like a Subaru. It pissed him so much that he wanted to delay its launch by an entire year to give time for his engineers to dial in more differentiation.

UPDATED: It Looks Like Toyota Philippines Will be Offering the 2020 Supra
UPDATE 2: The 2020 Supra has been teased by Toyota Motor Philippines (6/8).
UPDATE: The original Facebook post has now been taken down, and we have also been requested to do the same (6/2).
It looks like Toyota Motor Philippines is serious about adding a strong dose of sportiness to their line-up. After the 86, it seems the largest carmaker in the country will be introducing its new halo sportscar, the Toyota Supra as well.

Review: 2004 BMW 530d
Every Terminator movie has a scene where Arnold Schwarzenegger gets hit with everything the enemy has. His skin and human attachments rip off, revealing the glowering, gleaming metal underneath. Imagine that happening to a car, and that's how the new BMW 5 series looks like—as if the attractively beady-eyed countenance of the old 5 gets blown off and out comes The Cyborg. The angry eyebrows of the front headlamp clusters lead to a pronounced nose section and sharply creased flanks. The shutlines are all trapezoids and the rear continues the bulky, angular theme.
