Mazda Confirms 7-Seater CX-5 SUV, Calls It CX-8
After intense speculation coming from Japanese car blogs (such as this one), Mazda has gone on record and confirmed that they are indeed making a 7-seater CX-5. In fact, they’ve released a single teaser image of the production model called the CX-8. The CX-8 will be sold in Japan by the end of 2017 (as early as the third quarter according to some sources).

32-car Grid Takes On Petron 8 Oras ng Pilipinas
Now on its 9th edition, the Petron 8 Oras ng Pilipinas continues to be the premier endurance race in the country. This year hosted the biggest event by far with a record-breaking 32 teams and 122 drivers taking on the challenge last December 2. It also proved to be the toughest with all competitors pushing a lot harder to win as compared to previous years. As a testament to this, only 24 cars survived the grueling enduro to see the chequered flag at the Clark International Speedway.

Mazda Museum: Past, Present, and Future in 1 Hour
Hiroshima is often not high on a typical tourist’s list of “must-see, must-go places”. Getting there requires advanced planning since it takes a two-hour Shinkansen (bullet train) ride from the international hub city of Osaka (Kansai International Airport). Plus once you get there, the city center itself has little to offer compared to the likes of Tokyo and Kyoto. However a train transfer away from downtown brings you to the beautiful island of Miyajima and its floating torii gate in one direction, and on the opposite direction, the Mazda Museum.

UPDATED: Mazda MX-5 Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Special Edition
UPDATE (1): Mazda Philippines has confirmed that it will be releasing a total of 25 of the 1,000 units of the 25th Anniversary Edition for P 1,800,000. (5/11)
Along with the introduction of the next-generation MX-5’s Skyactiv-Chassis, the Mazda MX-5 Miata 25th Anniversary Edition revealed in New York is a special edition model that brings together 25 years’ worth of fun shared with fans.
Based on the power retractable hard top model, and available with either 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions, it is available exclusively in Soul Red Metallic.
Meticulous attention to detail has been paid in every area of the vehicle such as the black-painted roof, A-pillars, and door mirrors; off-white leather upholstery and door trim, hand-finished decorative panel, and the adoption of Bilstein dampers.
No other mechanical changes have been made to the MX-5.
