Leaving No One Behind: Inclusion Is Front And Center At The Paris 2024 Games
Here’s a little-known fact: while Paris has hosted three Olympics, 2024 marked the first time the city hosted a Paralympic Games. As experienced in previous host cities, the Games is often seen as an accelerant in improving the accessibility of people with disabilities. And with a promise of hosting a “Games Wide Open,” Paris put that promise front and center.

Driving the Nürburgring Nordschleife Is An N-thusiast’s Dream Come True
I just crossed one off my bucket list. Just when I thought cruising on Highway 1 in the United States and ploughing through the sand dunes in the Sahara Desert couldn’t be topped, I did this: hot laps on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. And mind you, I wasn’t here on the invitation by some German brand, no; I’m here thanks to, of all car companies, Hyundai. Wait, what?

Going Higher Than Clouds With The Isuzu D-MAX And Overland Kings
I have no penchant for traveling. My family wasn’t well-off enough to have that kind of hobby. The farthest we got was Batangas simply because that’s my mom’s home province. My only sources of traveling were field trips in school, college projects, and now my work.

Inside Porsche's Secret Garage In Kallenberg
Tucked amongst a row of nondescript warehouses lies the greatest facility to Porsche-philes: Porsche’s secret garage. Located somewhere in Kallenberg, this warehouse is where Porsche keeps over 700 iconic vehicles, unique machines, and race cars if they’re not on display at the Porsche Museum just a few kilometers away. Here’s the thing: unlike the Museum which grants entry for around 15 euros, this one isn’t open to the public.

2024 Hyundai Stargazer X: The MPV From The Future Takes Road Trips A Notch Higher
One of the good things that resulted from the pandemic is that it reignited a love for the open road and a passion for adventure. Over the past couple of years, we’ve seen a steady rise in people going on roads trips, the opening of beautiful camping grounds and boutique resorts, and the eagerness of the Filipino to explore more of the country than taking flight.

The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Is A Tito Car And That's Not Such A Bad Thing
On the surface, being labeled as a “Tito’s car” may seem insulting; after all, carmakers are always targeting the youth or youth-oriented demographic. However, in my experience with the all-new Subaru Crosstrek (the crossover formerly known as the Subaru XV), whether it’s by design or accident, its practical packaging and easy-to-drive demeanor make it the great car for those who’ve just hit their mid-forties. Let me explain.

Pampanga Food Tripping With The BMW X1, X3, And 3 Series
It’s been eight years since BMW Philippines last held a ride and drive. The last one, if you were old enough to remember, was with the 2 Series Active Tourer way back in 2015. That was a different era: X was still Twitter, Facebook had a timeline (rather than a newsfeed), and there wasn’t any mad rush among motoring journos to hit, “publish” first on any story. Today, we’ve got a maniac in charge of X, Facebook’s now known as Meta, and journalists (me included) are more concentrated on churning out stories than anything else. It’s times like these I yearn for simpler times and thank goodness BMW’s managed to give that even for just one afternoon.

An Ode To The Internal Combustion Engine: Mazda Fan Festa 2023 At Fuji Speedway
It was a traffic jam worth being in. As our bus went inside the premises of the Fuji International Speedway, we were surrounded by a gaggle of Mazdas. Most were MX-5s, CX-5s, and CX-60s, but there was an odd Mazda Luce or two. Seeing the sight, our bus driver muttered the words, “Ah, rotary engine.” While I couldn’t make out the rest of his Nihongo, his knowledge of Mazda’s trademark engine spoke volumes of the brand’s indelible mark among the Japanese, and the rest of the world for that matter.

Hyundai Motorstudio Senayan Park Focuses On Human Connection For Progress
Hyundai’s corporate vision is a simple one: Progress for Humanity. Yet, those three seemingly simple words encapsulate what Hyundai was, is, and will be. With a logo that symbolizes two people shaking hands in an act of mutual respect and trust, the mobility company has expanded that to cover the value of humanity altogether; one that strengthens relationships and connection.

Can An EV Road Trip? We Drive The BMW iX1 And i7 In Germany To Find Out
EV adoption is still in its infancy here in the Philippines. With just a handful of public chargers available, most EVs are relegated to urban use, not because of their range per se, but because of range anxiety. Even as carmakers manage to unlock sometimes stupendous ranges on modern EVs, range anxiety has caused owners to be overly cautious about taking one out of town; and they have every right to be. Unlike a conventional petrol or hybrid vehicle, once you run out of juice in an EV, it’s game over.

The Hyundai Motorstudio Goyang Isn't Your Ordinary Car Museum
Korea may not be the first country you think of when it comes to automotive-related exhibits and museums, but that’s fast changing. Realizing that the future of mobility isn’t purely functional, but emotional as well, Hyundai has opened several Hyundai Motorstudio in key cities around the world to serve as a mobility theme park of sorts.
