An Ode To The Internal Combustion Engine: Mazda Fan Festa 2023 At Fuji Speedway

It was a traffic jam worth being in. As our bus went inside the premises of the Fuji International Speedway, we were surrounded by a gaggle of Mazdas. Most were MX-5s, CX-5s, and CX-60s, but there was an odd Mazda Luce or two. Seeing the sight, our bus driver muttered the words, “Ah, rotary engine.” While I couldn’t make out the rest of his Nihongo, his knowledge of Mazda’s trademark engine spoke volumes of the brand’s indelible mark among the Japanese, and the rest of the world for that matter.

Hyundai’s corporate vision is a simple one: Progress for Humanity. Yet, those three seemingly simple words encapsulate what Hyundai was, is, and will be. With a logo that symbolizes two people shaking hands in an act of mutual respect and trust, the mobility company has expanded that to cover the value of humanity altogether; one that strengthens relationships and connection.

Can An EV Road Trip? We Drive The BMW iX1 And i7 In Germany To Find Out

EV adoption is still in its infancy here in the Philippines. With just a handful of public chargers available, most EVs are relegated to urban use, not because of their range per se, but because of range anxiety. Even as carmakers manage to unlock sometimes stupendous ranges on modern EVs, range anxiety has caused owners to be overly cautious about taking one out of town; and they have every right to be. Unlike a conventional petrol or hybrid vehicle, once you run out of juice in an EV, it’s game over.

First Drive: 2023 Hyundai Creta And 2023 Hyundai Stargazer

The Creta and Stargazer seem like they’ve got nothing in common. Sure enough, look at them and except for the stylized “H” logo at the front, there’s almost no family resemblance. Yet, underneath, these two share the same powertrain and platform. The most vital ingredients to any new car, Hyundai has built one so flexible that it’s able to cater to vastly different audiences very well.

Out Of My Comfort Zone: Taking The Mazda BT-50 Camping And (Sort Of) Loving It

Try something new, for once—that’s the sort of inspirational content your Gen Z friends share on Facebook, second only to your tita and her daily Bible quote. While that makes for a great excuse to spend their life savings on “experiences,” not even a GIF of Morgan Freeman or Daenerys Targaryen staring stoically will convince me. I’m a man of routine, and that doesn’t bother me at all.

BMW iX3 and iX: An Electrification Win-Win

In a lot of ways, the presence of the iX and iX3 at the same time is a perfect representation of BMW’s electrification strategy. On the surface, they look nothing alike, save for some familial design cues, but underneath, they’re actually opposite sides of the same coin. They’re both here to prove that the brand’s motto, “Sheer Driving Pleasure” will carry on in the age of electrification.

A Day Out With The 2022 Peugeot 5008

It’s been about two years since I’ve hit the open road for something other than work. Although ride and drives are starting to be a regular occurrence, they’re typically done in frantic fashion. It’s simply hard to get personal with any car when you’re racing against a precisely-timed schedule. Understanding perhaps that the French do things differently, Astara, the new distributors of Peugeot have decided to do something else.
