Luca di Montezemolo, former chairman of Ferrari has joined McLaren’s board of directors. The expanded Board of Directors bring with them deep expertise across the luxury, tech, and automotive sectors.
McLaren Group Holdings Limited (MGHL) oversees McLaren Automotive and has a non-controlling stake in McLaren Racing and the newly-formed McLaren Licensing business, among others.
Montezemolo brings with him deep expertise from Ferrari where he was from 1991 to 2014. During his tenure there, he brought 19 world titles to the Prancing Horse. He also concurrently served as Fiat’s chairman from 2010 to 2014.
He is joined on the MGHL board by:

The expansion of the MGHL Board comes after the recapitalization of the McLaren business by its shareholder, CYVN Holdings LLC, the advanced mobility investment vehicle owned by the Government of Abu Dhabi, which enabled McLaren Automotive to fully repay its public bond and outstanding loan facilities.
