Volvo Cars PH Reports 550 Percent Growth As It Invests To Enhance Aftersales

Volvo Cars, under its new distributor, Hariphil Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), is reporting remarkable sales growth as it invests to push its customer experience to a higher level.

Last May, the Swedish premium car brand reported a 550 percent month-on-month growth. It also equates to a 29.8 percent year-on-year increase versus May 2024. Notably, Volvo says that 57 percent of total sales were EVs, with the EX30 alone comprising 28 percent (read our review).

HARI Vice Chair, President, and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo attributes the brand’s trajectory to an invigorated value proposition: safety as a personal service at every customer touchpoint. She notes, “When customers know they can rely on swift, safe, and seamless support, their satisfaction translates into long-term loyalty.”

To continue its momentum, HARI is embarking on two strategic investments: the Volvo Personal Service (VPS) and Auto Resources Center (ARC).

Volvo Personal Service (VPS) reimagines automotive service as a fundamentally people-first experience. VPS pairs each customer with a dedicated technician who handles everything—from scheduling to diagnostics to execution to delivery. HARI says that it’s the fastest path to service, but also the most personal, reflecting Volvo’s core belief that how you treat people matters as much as the product you deliver.

Meanwhile, HARI is also utilizing the Auto Resources Center (ARC) in Calamba City to support Volvo Cars’ operations in the country.

The 10-hectare complex which can accommodate some 2,400 vehicles and boasts a steady stock of genuine parts, is more than ready to drive Volvo’s premium ownership experience. And as the only dedicated logistics and training hub operated by a luxury car brand, it guarantees a high level of unit and parts availability, workshop training, and operational readiness.

In a market conditioned to expect delay, uncertainty, and compromise in luxury car servicing, HARI says their pivot to aftersales service “may be their boldest innovation yet.”

“When customers know they can rely on swift, safe, and seamless support, their satisfaction translates to increased retention and higher average lifetime value. Volvo under HARI is poised to reshape the future of mobility in the country with its long-view approach to business growth, grounded in customer loyalty,” affirms Ms. Agudo.

    2. The irony of china car haters separating Volvo as nice expensive cars (which they are) when there's good news about them but then dump on them for having chinese ownership under Geely when there's bad news about them.
