Maserati has raised the curtain on the MCPura, their new halo car that replaces the MC20. The MCPura represents the most authentic values of the Trident brand and thus offers the same exhilarating driving performance wrapped in a timeless, elegant style.
Continuing where the MC20 left off, the MCPura’s biggest change has to do with exterior design. It sports a new front fascia with a reshaped grille that’s meant to evoke the Maserati’s single-seat racing cars. Meanwhile, the bumper itself takes its cues from the GT2 Stradale. Over to the back, there’s a new oversized rear spoiler, while the bumper improves on the aero performance generated by the car’s floor.
Just as with the MC20, the MCPura maintains its dramatic butterfly doors. On the Cielo, the convertible, there’s an electrochromic retractable glass roof that goes from clear to opaque at the press of a button.
Powering the MCPura remains the 3.0-liter “Nettuno” twin-turbo V6. Power and torque, at 630 horsepower and 720 Nm, respectively, remains unchanged as before, and is channeled through an 8-speed dual clutch powering the rear wheels. It continues to contain several technological revolutions including a Formula 1-derived pre-chamber combustion system featuring twin spark plugs.
Inside, the MCPura receives a new steering wheel with a flat top for better visibility. The starter button is also located on the tiller along with the Start and Launch Control buttons. Alcantara covers majority of the interior with the seats, door panels, dashboard, and steering wheel covered in the breathable, grippy stuff. Laser-etching makes for interesting patterns that resemble tire tread marks. Naturally, buyers can also opt to go with leather if they so wish.
Equipped with the latest-generation Maserati Intelligent Assistant, the MCPura makes use of the Android Automotive operating system that powers its two 10.25-inch screens. New to the MCPura is the “Performance Pages” which helps drivers monitor certain car performance parameters.

They've renamed the MC20 then
