As the chairman of Toyota, Akio Toyoda knows that drinking and driving don’t mix. However, that doesn’t mean he can’t share his connoisseur’s taste elsewhere. Meet the Morizo Tea, a premium craft Japanese green tea that’s good enough to sniff like fine wine.
The new offering, bottled in a dark wine bottle with a gold-and-green label featuring the Morizo signature of approval, went on sale at Intersect, Lexus’ brand lounge and restaurant space in Tokyo.
Lexus says the tea “captures the feeling of taking a deep breath in a fresh spring forest. It expresses the scent of trees and gently swaying in the breeze, the earthy fragrance of roots and soil, and the aroma of delicate flowers blooming leaves somewhere nearby.”
The company says a portion of the proceeds will go toward tree planting and other environmental efforts around Fuji Speedway, the beloved home race circuit where Morizo burns rubber and slams gears—at least when he’s not enjoying the finer things in life.

Tea that looks like a wine.
ReplyDeleteWhere to buy this Morizo Tea and how much?
ReplyDeleteIntersect by Lexus in Tokyo. So far Akio-san hasn't indicated the price on his post.
DeletePerhaps this product could soon be found at Mitsukoshi BGC.
DeleteSpeaking about Morizo, I believe Lexus Manila should bring in the LBX Morizo RR.
