It was a synergistic move for Toyota to hold the first-ever “Lakbay Tamaraw” ride and drive in the beautiful island of Mindoro. First, Mindoro is home to the Philippine Tamaraw, one of the country’s endangered species and the vehicle’s namesake. As part of a continuing advocacy to protect the Tamaraw from local poaching, Toyota has partnered and pledged its support to the Tamaraw Conservation Program of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). It is no wonder that the next challenge for the Tamaraw is to have its day on the race track, to run alongside the iconic Toyota race cars.
