Ford Territory Hybrid Confirmed For Philippine Market

Share this on:

Ford Philippines may have announced the Mustang Mach-E as its first electrified model for the market, but it won’t be the last. Confirmed in LTO homologation papers is the arrival of the Territory Hybrid too.

In its official homologation papers, the Philippine market Territory Hybrid Titanium sports a 160 kW (218 horsepower) electric output. This points strongly that the Territory heading to the local market is the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant. This is based on the Equator Sport’s specs in China. Lending further credence to that is its portly 1,740-kilogram curb weight. Other confirmed information include its wheels and tires (235/55R18) as well as dimensions: 4,685 mm in length, 1,760 mm in height, 1,935 mm in width, and 2,726 mm wheelbase. Ground clearance is at 157 mm.

Now, if the Philippines does get the Territory Hybrid, expect close to 100 kilometers of all-electric range thanks to an 18.4-kWh CATL-sourced battery pack. It also uses a two-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT).

Of course, the homologation papers do not indicate any refresh, but it will be timely for Ford to refresh the Territory as the updated model broke out in other markets. If that’s the case, expect it to gain the new family look with an entirely new front fascia with Ford’s C-shaped lighting. The grille is also new as is the front bumper. The rear bumpers have also been tweaked. Inside, the updated Territory gets the same twin-screen layout, but it does have new graphics.

  2. i mean territory PHEV vs sealion 6. 77 target dealerships of byd not feasible as competition will eventually catch up on products offrring. Byd dealerships income on once a year periodic maintenance wont sustain expenses specially those on provincial areas that has few units sold.

    1. Haha. BYD realized this already. Changed the service cycles to every 6 months or 20,000 km's whichever comes 1st. There goes Ayala's integrity. Time to make some moolah!
