The 2026 Changan Nevo Q05 Is A Solid PHEV Crossover Bogged Down By Some Quirks
Changan has entered their electrified era in the Philippines with the introduction of their “Nevo” sub-brand. This is focused on offering not just electrified but modern vehicles. The Q05 crossover fits this ethos well with its plug-in hybrid powertrain and future-forward design. However, it’s riddled with quirks at every stop.

The Jetour T1 i-DM Is For The More Subtle Adventurer
I’ll spare you from any tito references this time around and just say that for all that it is, the Jetour T2 is indeed a good SUV. However, one can’t deny it’s not for everybody. Sure, it’s pricey but aside from that, it’s also too obvious. The very macho silhouette, over-emphasized flares, and the Jetour badge at the grille isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. This is where the Jetour T1 comes in.

Review: 2025 Tesla Model 3 Standard Range RWD
Tesla. Such a complicated car company making rather uncomplicated cars. At times, it’s hard to separate Elon Musk’s—it’s CEO and “Technoking”—occasional tirades and the EVs he’s making to the point that people form strong opinions on a Tesla without even sitting, let alone driving one. Honestly, I was one of those people given my experience, at least when it comes to a Model 3, was limited to just Uber rides around Europe. However, that has all changed and after spending four days with one, the hype—not the hate—is most definitely real.

The Ford Territory Hybrid Provides A No Worries Motoring Experience
Usually when a car transitions into electrification, it’s more of a drag and drop thing. Drag this car to the lab, drop a hybrid powertrain, and then release it to the public. Ford did things differently with the Territory Hybrid. They timed it to go with a refresh, making the package even more remarkable. It got new bells, whistles, and clothes to go with that fresh electrified setup.

Review: 2025 MG One 1.5 CVT Lux
I don’t know exactly what MG had in mind when they came up with the MG One. When it was launched, it was sized like the MG HS (which was offered at the time), and even shares similar price points and features. MG seems to admit to it as much since its name, which spells out “ONE” doesn’t fit in with the rest of the line-up’s alphanumeric naming convention which uses Arabic numerals like 3, 4, 5, and 7. Perhaps, I’d get the full picture when the all-new MG HS comes in, but for now, it begs the question: does it make sense for MG to spawn off a separate product line based simply on how it looks?

Review: 2025 Honda HR-V 1.5 S Honda SENSING
The Honda HR-V is a textbook case of the effects of inflation. When it was launched in 2022, this entry-level variant you see here was priced at P 1.25-million. All things considered, it was a good value crossover. As time marched on and a midcycle refresh came into the picture, its SRP crept up until it settled to P 1.45-million—a P 200,000 increase compared to when it first launched three years ago. With no major changes then and now, this is unsettling not just for the HR-V, but for Honda as a whole, who’ve been slowly, but surely pricing themselves off market.

Review: 2025 Honda HR-V RS e:HEV Honda SENSING
If there’s one issue everyone has with Honda’s e:HEV hybrid line-up, it’s that they’re just too darn expensive. When they introduced the CR-V RS e:HEV in 2024, its P 2.6-million price tag already got some tongues wagging; by the time the P 2-million Civic RS e:HEV rolled out in 2025, the conversation turned to: what are they smoking? It’s a shame, because price notwithstanding, they do offer Honda’s trademark fun-to-drive character with impressive real-world fuel economy.

The Mitsubishi Xforce GT Is In Its Own Bubble
I was excited when the Mitsubishi Xforce finally landed in the country. It was Mitsubishi’s first crossover after the ASX (that I still adore) and came after the current sub-compact crossover king—the Geely Coolray—encountered hiccups that lead to its demise from the rankings. The GAC GS3 Emzoom isn’t quite there yet to claim the empty throne and so Mitsubishi still has a chance with their new Xforce.

The 2026 Subaru Uncharted Goes From 0-100 kph In Just 5 Seconds!
Subaru has launched their third all-electric vehicle, the first-ever Subaru Uncharted. Once again enlisting the help of Toyota, the Uncharted brings the six-star brand straight into, pardon the pun, uncharted territory as it ditches its trademark all-wheel drive in a SUV/crossover—the first time in over 30 years.

2025 Toyota Corolla Cross GR Sport: This Is The Crossover I'm Looking For
As fate would have it, this is the first time I got my hands on the top-of-the-line Corolla Cross GR Sport. Personally, I’ve driven the mid-trim 1.8 V pre-facelift and the 1.8 G post-facelift. Our ever-busy writer, Gen, was able to find time for it in 2023, but besides that, this GR Sport variant has yet to see proper drive time on this site. Since I’m in the market for a small, incognito-ish hybrid SUV to replacing my aging CX-5 Diesel, I took this opportunity to get seat time for a proper evaluation.
