Ford Philippines is finally entering the electrified vehicle segment after first announcing that intention in late 2024, and their first vehicle is the Mustang Mach-E.
“It is only fitting that we take our big leap in our electrification journey with an iconic Ford vehicle. The arrival of the Mach-E reinforces Ford as a credible and must-watch player in the electric vehicle (EV) segment in the country. With a continuously growing community of Mustang owners in the Philippines, the Mustang Mach-E will surely give enthusiasts an electrified experience like no other,” said Pedro Simoes, Managing Director of Ford Philippines.
The Mustang Mach-E is set to arrive by the third quarter of 2025, and dealers across the country are already receiving the appropriate training for aftersales support and service.
Ford Philippines will reveal more details of the Mustang Mach-E closer to its launch, but based on LTO homologation documents, it’s possible that two specs will be on offer: the Mach-E Premium and the Mach-E GT.
The Mach-E measures in at 4,728 mm in length, 1,881 mm in width, and 1,634 mm in height based on the approved LTO paperwork. It sports a 2,984 mm wheelbase and a ground clearance of 172 mm.
The Mach-E Premium is powered by a single electric motor with 294 horsepower (216 kW) and 600 kilometers of range. AC charging is said to be between 10 to 14 hours, while DC charging is done in 45 minutes. Confirmed specs include 19-inch alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the Mach-E GT has dual motors for 486 horsepower (358 kW) and 490 kilometers of range. This one rides on 20-inch alloy wheels as indicated in the LTO filing. Both specifications point to a possible 88-kWh battery.
Globally, the Mustang Mach-E is assembled in two places, either in Mexico or in China. No confirmation has been made on sourcing either, but the LTO dimensions mirror that of the Mexico-sourced Mustang Mach-E as opposed to the China market version.
Very nice
ReplyDeleteMost likely priced like a Explorer and Mustang Coupe
Lol. It’s not going to sell well then. Ford needs to undercut the Tesla Model Y for this thing to have a fighting chance.
DeleteAbsolutely correct, watch out Ford PH, your customers are wiser than you think..... And many new brands are available nowadays, especially for EVs...
DeleteI will buy an EV asap. Been waiting for Mach e for years. If priced honestly, then I'll buy the GT, otherwise it's gonna be a Tesla...
DeleteIt’ll break even before it runs out of battery 🤣
