The Chery Tiggo 2 Pro Is Now Known As The Tiggo Touring
Chery Auto Philippines continues to move away from its numeric nomenclature, at least for the Philippine market. After the launch of the Tiggo Cross (formerly Tiggo 5x), Tiggo Grand Tour (formerly the Tiggo 8), and the Tiggo rEV C-DM (known globally as the Tiggo 9), the automaker has now re-branded the Tiggo 2 Pro as the Tiggo Touring for 2026.

The 2026 Chery Tiggo Cross HEV Offers Hints Of Brilliance
A hatchback makes more practical sense but Filipinos still prefer a sedan. This is why the Vios is more popular than the Yaris, and the City hatchback is a niche car compared to the City sedan.

The VENUE combines what every Filipino looks for in a daily driver – an SUV that provides premium, up-to-the-minute style with the level of driving performance that you can count on for every kind of lifestyle.

A New Kind Of Vibe With The Suzuki Fronx
When you say Suzuki, a few things pop up in mind here in the Philippines. First of course is the Jimny which is a global icon. Second is their fuel-efficient small hatchbacks before like the Alto and Celerio. Third, the frugal 7-seaters they have for the family in the XL7 and Ertiga. If you want something bigger than a hatchback but more adventurous, there’s a definite void in their lineup — until now.

Is BYD Shying Away From Its Global EV Ambitions To Focus On...Hybrids?
BYD may have wanted to become a leader in battery electric vehicles, but that plan is slowly and surely being pulled back in favor of a plug-in hybrid solution. Not only is that evident in the recent models they’ve launched in the Philippines, but elsewhere as well. Take for example the Atto 2 sub-compact EV which is now being made available with the brand’s Super DM-i powertrain.
