The Manila International Auto Show or MIAS has become a summer tradition for petrol heads and car enthusiasts alike. Already dubbed the biggest motor show in the country based on floor space, this year’s outing sees 19 brands duke it out for your attention. With MIAS celebrating its 11th anniversary this year, it’s fitting to filter the 300 or so car exhibits and come up with the 10 cars you should spot during the show. CAMPI Announces 5th Philippine International Motor Show Highlights

In celebration of the Philippine automotive industry’s exponential growth, the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI), the country’s largest auto industry organization, gathers motoring industry players for the 5th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) happening on September 18-21 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

BMW Confirms X7 at Spartanburg Plant Expansion Ceremony

BMW has officially announced another addition to its growing SAV (Sport Activity Vehicle) line-up with the confirmation of the X7. Although no details were given, it was done to coincide with BMW’s additional investment to expand its Spartanburg plant in South Carolina, USA. In total, BMW will invest a total of one billion (yes, that’s with a ‘B’) US dollars by 2016. This increases their annual capacity by 50 percent to 450,000 vehicles from 300,000.

BMW Goes Front-Wheel Drive with 2 Series Active Sport Tourer...Wait, What?!

Call it blasphemy, but BMW has finally thrown in the towel and is introducing the brand’s first front-wheel drive vehicle. There’s good reason to BMW’s madness though: the 2 Series Active Sport Tourer wants to achieve “particularly high levels of versatility and functionality in the premium compact class”. In other words, BMW is doing that Mercedes-Benz did with the B-Class. Done and dusted.
