Hyundai Bacolod Is 2024 Hyundai Dealer Of The Year


Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH), crowned Hyundai Bacolod, led by Mr. Geoffrey “Jojo” Ponce, as its 2024 Dealer of The Year (DOTY). 

“While we celebrate our achievements over the past two years, I firmly believe that we have only begun tapping into the full potential of Hyundai as a brand. There is so much more we can and will do for our Filipino customers and community at large. Our drive is more than the hardware and technology that we offer. Our innovative spirit comes from the heart and genuine care for the people. With this, we will continuously find new ways, even beyond mobility, to create a stronger bond with them,” said HMPH President Mr. Dongwook Lee, in his opening message.

The night proceeded into three segments, the first being the “Individual Performance Awards”. This recognized the Sales Consultants (SCs) who were able to achieve the 100 Units Sales Milestone. Of which was tallied between June 2022 to December 2023. In no particular order, they were:
  • Sherile Monillas (Alabang)
  • Vanesa Valderama (E. Rodriguez)
  • Francis Joseph Ablis (Pasig)
  • Dennis Bonto (E. Rodriguez)
  • Grace Solante (Manila Bay)
  • Edna Karla Hipolito (Pampanga)
  • Jann Terry Mariano (Baguio)
  • Divine Grace Galicha (Commonwealth)
  • Joan Que (Commonwealth)
  • Jonna Mae Lopez (Santiago City)
  • Christian Jay Dy (Bacolod)
  • Michelle Quiroz (Pampanga)
  • Dianne Katrina Santos (Alabang)
  • Roldan Araguas (Las Piñas)
  • Ivan Laspuña (Commonwealth)
  • Roger Bustalino (Shaw Boulevard)
  • Lucille Enciso (Manila Bay)
Outstanding performers in their respective fields, were then called out. Namely:
  • Marketer of the Year: Catherine De Jesus (Commonwealth)
  • Service Manager of the Year: Jayson Untalan (Santiago City)
  • Customer Relations Manager of the Year: Charmelotte Bartolome (Cabanatuan City)
  • Warranty Administrator of the Year: Ave Mae Zamora (Las Piñas)
  • Service Technician of the Year: Mervin Lorico (Naga City)
  • Service Advisor of the Year: Robert Hayen (Batangas City)
  • Parts Manager of the Year: Ma. Lourdes Espiritu (Pasig)
This was followed by the “Dealer Excellence Awards” which were determined based on a scale across various aspects of the business. The winners are as follows:
  • Top Sales Volume: Commonwealth
  • Top Sales Target Attainment: Quezon Avenue
  • Excellence in Dealer Sales Operations: Quezon Avenue
  • Daily Sales Achiever: Bacolod
  • Top Leads Generation: Commonwealth
  • Excellence in Service Operations: Bacolod
  • Excellence in Customer Relations Management: Cabanatuan City
  • Excellence in Sales Satisfaction Index: Cabanatuan City
  • Excellence in Customer Satisfaction Index: Santiago City
  • Excellence in Dealer Parts Operations: Pasig
  • Excellence in Dealer Facilities: Silang
  • Excellence in Marketing: Commonwealth
Then finally, the evening’s much-awaited recognition, which is the overall “DOTY Award”. Hyundai Bacolod, of the Ponce Group took home the honors. While Mr. Leo Anthony San Juan’s Hyundai Quezon Avenue and Atty. Anna Lyne San Juan Ponferrada’s Hyundai Commonwealth, closely followed as first and second runner ups, respectively. These outlets ranked top three in the dealer operations scorecard. Taking in consideration sales, service, parts, marketing, customer experience, and GDSI facilities.

This is the Ponce Group’s first DOTY distinction since signing with Hyundai in 2002. As one of the pioneer dealers with twenty two years of loyalty to the brand, Hyundai Bacolod has proven its utmost passion and sincerity to serve its customers. This is in line with the dealership’s mission and vision to offer top quality service to its clients, and at the same time ensure that its employees are supported and recognized. While also managing the soon to open Hyundai Dumaguete, Bacolod garnered the top score for Excellence in Service Operations and was also a Top Daily Sales Achiever which attests to their commitment of being at the forefront of the industry in the entire Negros island.

HMPH will continue to commit to its vision to Innovate Everyday, by not just providing mobility solutions through a more competitive lineup of cars but also diversifying the ways in which customers can have access to them. In 2023, the network has managed to sell 9,130 units, achieving 182 percent growth bannered by its best-selling models, the Stargazer and the Creta. 

For 2024, expansion plans comprise of ten dealer openings, in the brand’s road to 46 dealers, to reach even more Filipino customers across the country.
