2019 SsangYong Rexton 4x4 vs 2019 Nissan Terra VL 4x4
When SsangYong unveiled its 7-seater Rexton SUV, interestingly enough they dedicated one slide to its market positioning. With the mid-sized 7-seater SUV segment proving to be the market shaper in the local scene, the Korean automaker opted to compete in segments that represent the biggest bulk of sales. Third largest or 16 percent of sales belong to SUVs priced between P 2 to P 2.250 million, and this is where the top-dog Rexton, the 4x4 finds itself in.

Review: 2017 SsangYong Korando ELX 4x4
Quick, clear any mental cache you may have of the SsangYong Korando. From a company that was grabbing headlines more for producing “kill-it-with-fire” styled vehicles, here’s something that won’t turn you to stone when looking at it. The 2017 Korando is actually palatable—no, scratch that, it’s actually quite handsome any which way you look at it. The question is: is this Giugiaro-penned crossover’s beauty merely skin deep?

First Drive: 2018 Suzuki Vitara GLX
When the original Suzuki Vitara first appeared in the market close to 30 years ago, people bought one mainly as a fashion accessory, despite it being a genuinely capable off-roader. In the three decades and two Vitara generations that followed, Suzuki continuously shifted towards family-oriented buyers who wanted a utilitarian edge. The latest one, the fourth-generation Vitara, completes that transformation. Chucking what’s left of its off-road credentials out the window, the all-new Vitara is now a purely urban, on-road sub-compact crossover. And that’s all for the better.

Review: 2018 Suzuki Vitara GLX
“That looks slick.” This is the typical greeting anyone would have upon seeing the 2018 Suzuki Vitara. Of course, for people old enough to remember, they would remember the badge as having been affixed on a model that pioneered the small, no-nonsense 4x4.
