Could this be the most badass-looking Toyota Tamaraw? Unveiled during the Manila Auto Salon 2025, this heavily-modified Tamaraw has already earned the nickname, “Tama-WOW.”
Leave it to the folks over at Black Rhino Philippines (Wheel Gallery, Inc.) who built the race-ready truck in collaboration with Atoy Customs. Riding on Black Rhino Sol wheels (itself representative of the sun in the Philippine flag), the build is inspired by the late Ken Block’s Hoonitruck.
The Tama-WOW truck is part of its new global advertising campaign in partnership with Hoonigan (Wheels Pro). It features a new Black Rhino livery designed at Hoonigan’s Los Angeles headquarters and marks the Philippines as the starting point of a worldwide series using GPS coordinates on each build.
“The partnership between Black Rhino/Hoonigan and Sam Liuson along with the entire Black Rhino Philippines team has made a tremendous impact on our brand across the globe over the past 18 years. We’re incredibly excited for Wheel Gallery to showcase some of our newest and yet-to-be-released Black Rhino wheel designs in the Philippines,” says Ryan Gallagher, General Manager, Hoonigan.
