The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class has always been regarded as the brand's technical tour-de-force: a car where they only put the best. Unfortunately, putting a lot of stuff also means putting on a lot of weight, a perennial problem of Mercedes-Benz's two-seater grand tourer. And with a name that somewhat translates to "Sport" and "Light", it has become ironic indeed.
