BMW Shows Off Controversial 2021 4 Series

2020 Toyota Supra vs 2019 BMW Z4: By the Numbers
Now that Toyota has finally removed the wraps off the 2020 Supra after what seemed like a ka-zillion years of teasing, comparisons against other sportscars would be inevitable. In this round, we’re comparing the Supra against its sister car, the 2019 BMW Z4. Plus, we’re also throwing a curve ball and mixing in the smaller Toyota 86 and similarly-priced Nissan 370Z NISMO to see how everyone stacks up. Let’s begin.

Review: 2008 BMW 320d Sport
There’s always something just right about the BMW 3 Series. Beside the papa bear excess of the 7 Series and the mommy bear conservatism of the 5 Series, the 3 has always balanced the act quite well. And buyers seem to agree: the 3 Series accounts for more than 50 percent of BMW’s annual sales. BMW considers the 3 Series so important that it has as much trim choices as the rest of the sedan line-up combined. Locally, there are at least six—ranging from the poverty spec 318i to the ultra-cool 325i. With so many choices, which is the best? Although the obvious is the 325i, the price of ownership stings the wallet a tad too much. On the other end of the scale, as tempting as the 318i is, it’s just too entry-level. And then there’s the 320i, but everyone seems to have one of those now. So, it’s the new 320d then. Though it may not have that famed inline-6 upfront, it’s offers an excellent mix of style and performance in every sense of the word.

The big nose trend over at BMW has begun. After the giant schnoz debuted on the X7 SUV, the same treatment can now be seen in their flagship 7 Series luxury sedan. Look beyond that unsightly fascia though, and BMW promises better luxury and more tech than ever before.

Review: 2023 BMW 530i M Sport
Few cars have such wide-ranging talents as the BMW 5 Series, and buyers seem to agree: it’s been at the heart of the German automaker’s range in every generation that’s been around (the current is the seventh). However, in the time when it has become almost the default choice, helped by the fact that it’s the best of its kind, it faces an interesting challenge: luxury crossovers. But as the demand for luxury sedans is shrinking, BMW isn’t going down without a fight. Their response is to come up with the best 5 Series since the legendary E39 generation.

Review: 2023 BMW M340i xDrive Touring
Before SUVs and crossovers took over the world, if you needed to haul stuff, there were wagons. Thanks to the popularity of cladded up raised passenger cars, wagons or estates (or Touring if you prefer the proper BMW term), are now relegated to a very fringe set of buyers. That’s why it comes as a pleasant surprise that BMW Philippines has decided to bring in not one, not two, but three members of the 3 Series Touring family.

Review: BMW 218i Gran Tourer
You normally buy a BMW because either a: it looks good, or b: it makes you look good. Practicality may be part of the mix somewhere, but let’s face it—it’s just something to convince the wife. But what if there’s a car out there, with a blue-and-white propeller badge, that’s got practicality written all over it? What if there’s a BMW that you could buy and honestly say, it’s practical without having to sound like you’re eating your words?

Review: 2017 BMW X4 xDrive20d xLINE
BMW has been in the business of blurring segments lately. Starting with the original X vehicle, the X5 and moving on to the Gran Turismo and then the Gran Coupe, BMW has challenged the definition of each of those segments. The oddest amalgam they’ve come up with is when they blended the SUV and coupe genres together making the X6—the first “Sports Activity Coupe.” Pundits scoffed at it for its compromised utility and added price, but the public was enamored with its aggressive looks. BMW, it seems, has come up with a winning formula.

Review: 2018 BMW X3 xDrive20d M Sport
BMW has been churning out countless X models as of late, but among them, the X3 is the best-balanced. It’s always managed to tiptoe between sportiness and comfort, ostentatiousness and practicality; it’s a BMW unrestricted by heritage, but still carries enough gravitas to wear the title of “ultimate driving machine.” Sadly though, the third-generation model has somewhat blemished that reputation. While it remains one of the premium SUV-dom’s most multi-faceted and respected offerings, it’s become a victim to BMW’s own product segmentation.

Philippine International Motor Show 2018 is What the Car Industry Needs to Wake Up
As a whole, the Philippine automotive industry isn’t doing well. Citing factors such as the increase in new vehicle excise tax, rise in both inflation and fuel prices, and the devaluation of the peso, CAMPI says that they’re bracing for either a flat or negative growth for 2018.
