Mazda Philippines Sets 3-Month Sales Record

Mazda Philippines registered its best three consecutive sales months on record for May, June and July 2014. Year to date July total sales of 1,787 vehicles represents a 50% improvement over the same period last year, and more than double the total sales the year before. The record 3 months was set at the back of sales of the all new Mazda3 Skyactiv, Mazda2 and CX-5 Skyactiv Crossover.

“We would like to thank new Mazda owners for choosing the Mazda brand and supporting Berjaya Auto Philippines” says BAP President and CEO Steven Tan. He adds, “We are deeply appreciative to customers who are waiting for the new Mazda3 – we continue to aggressively engage our plant in Japan to make more Mazda3 available for the Philippines to reduce the waiting period and catch up on the reservation list.”

BAP is likewise awaiting further deliveries of more BT-50 pickup (2012/2013 Philippines Truck of the Year winner) and the Mazda6 executive sedans (2013/2014 Philippines Car of the Year winner). According to Tan, stocks for both models are low in company and dealer inventory - this is due to their continued high global demand and full plant capacity. However Tan reassured that “Mazda Japan is highly committed to support all reservations for these Mazda models in the next few months.”

Berjaya Auto Philippines is the exclusive distributor of Mazda vehicles and parts in the Philippines. Current product line-up includes the Mazda2 sub-compact sedan and hatchback, the recently launched all-new Mazda3 SKYACTIV compact sedan and hatchback, the Mazda6 executive sedan, the CX-5 compact SUV, the CX-9 seven-seater SUV, the MX-5 two-seater sports roadster and the BT-50 pick-up truck. There are 14 Mazda sales and service dealerships located across Metro Manila: Mazda Greenhills along EDSA, Mazda Pasig along C5, Mazda Quezon Avenue and Mazda Alabang; as well as provincial dealerships located at Pampanga, Dagupan, Cabanatuan, Batangas, Cebu, CDO, Tarlac, Cavite, Iloilo and Davao.
