Motor Image Pilipinas is offering a once-in-a-lifetime chance for those considering to buy a brand-new Subaru. From now until June 30, 2016, great deals are available on selected models of the Forester, Legacy, and Levorg. How big of a deal? How about as much as P 450,000 off?

The deal, available to both cash and bank financing, covers units used as Road Show/Mall display units. The following specific discounts are currently available:
  • 2015 Subaru Forester XT – P 1,568,000 (from P 1,868,000 or savings of P 300,000)
  • 2015 Subaru Legacy 2.5i-S – P 1,358,000 (from P 1,808,000 or savings of P 450,000)
  • 2015 Subaru Legacy 3.R-S – P 1,748,000 (from P 2,098,000 or savings of P 350,000)
  • 2016 Subaru Levorg 1.6 GT-S – P 1,518,000 (from P 1,718,000 or savings of P 200,000)
If none of these vehicles catch your fancy, head over to your nearest Motor Image Manila dealership along EDSA – San Juan, Bonifacio Global City, or Manila Bay to find out offers on other models such as the Subaru XV, WRX, and WRX STI.

Hurry, this is looking like a deal of a lifetime and it’s probably the best time for you to buy a Subaru.

    1. Not this big, no.

You could get around P 100,000-P 150,000 off just before a model gets replaced. It's the first time they're offering huge discount on current models (though they're display ones).

    2. ^These were actually "used" cars right? Display units? Are these totally refurbished or as is? I wonder what's their mileages?

    4. Last month we bought a 2015 forester, we had a 250k discount, it was the base model but its price dropped to just 1.1 million. Imagine a four wheel drive SUV with 6 airbags, auto wipers, auto headlights, spacious interior, boxer engine, 5 star safety, with traction control, EBD, ABS, its a steal only gripe though is it only has fabric seats but upholstery only cost me 8k to cover it in leather! even the base tucson is only FWD and has barely any features, dual airbags, and its priced 1.1m

  2. Subaru isn't what it used to be anymore. naging masa brand na. dati walang baduy na subbie, now you'll see fozzies and XVs pimped out with decals and chrome pieces. sucks.

    1. Gungong! Umaasenso na kc yung bansa mo, can afford na bumili ang masa. Yun yon.

  3. Won't this kind of strategy affect the resale value of the brand?

  4. yes. plus their aggressive marketing and pricing. nothing wrong with economic prosperity, but rather how MI, is leaning towards the "Ford customer experience". move lots of units and screw after sales service.

    1. ^Yep, Ford PH's customer service is only good when you are about to buy a vehicle... once you own one, all hell breaks loose as far as after-sales is concerned (parts & competency of technical staff)... I read in another car site that their PH prexy is about to improve this part of their game... well, good luck to Ford PH and to their "valued customers"!

    2. Not really. Ang ganda ng customer service sa BGC ng sa Forester namin. I admit na asa ibang level ang customer service ng Toyota Magallenes for our 7-year old FOrtuner, pero Subaru is seriously good as well. Well-accommodated ka. :)

  5. nothing beats the after-sales of Chevrolet, not just a particular branch but the whole bunch.. i recently gave up on them and just sold my '12 cruze (got pilfered twice, considering it was just left for a day to get an estimate).. Ford is tad better, but if one really want to waste money, time, and patience go for a chevy it will surely disappoint.

  6. Subaru's designs look dated that is why they have a lot of unsold inventory to discount. But with that huge price cut, it could sway a lot of people attracted to the brand. That Forester looks tempting compared to the CRV or the Legacy as mid size car.

  7. Some people comment without understanding - these are roadshow/mall units - in effect, DISPLAY units - kaya nakasale. These are not, "brand new" units as most people would define it..thats why malaki ang discount. It does not mean they have "a lot of unsold inventory", or that sales are slow.

    1. The first sentence of the release says "Motor Image Pilipinas is offering a once-in-a-lifetime chance for those considering to buy a brand-new Subaru." Hindi naman pala brand new and baka off road test units pa to. But, I agree that Subaru needs to seriously update its design though. Mabenta lang naman to sa Northeast US where there is lots of snow.

    2. Which is why I said "as most people would define it.". IT CAN still be considered brand new, since the buyer is still the FIRST owner. I dont however agree that it should be marketed as brand new - should be "practically brand new" - and mileage should only be less than one k or so kung mall display within metro manila. I personally would still hesitate getting one of these units, rather than one that has 10-20 km on the odometer. But thats just me.
