Dingdong Dantes Is Just One Of The 2,089 New GAC Emzoom Owners In 2024

Dingdong Dantes is just one of the 2,089 new GAC Emzoom owners last year. The actor and GAC Motor Philippines pitchman likely played a pivotal role in the brand’s continued rise in the country.

In 2024, GAC Motor achieved a 65 percent year-on-year increase with a total of 3,207 units sold—a leap from 1,943 units in 2023.

This makes GAC Motor the third best-selling Chinese car brand, behind MG and BYD.

For those of you who don’t have access to a calculator, the Emzoom compact crossover accounted for 65 percent of GAC Motor Philippines’ sales last year. The M6 Pro MPV, meanwhile, delivered 301 units (9.38 percent), while the M8 MPV delivered 225 units (7 percent). As their solitary passenger car, the Empow sold 111 (3.46 percent). This meant that the remaining models—the Emkoo compact SUV, GS8 mid-sized SUV, and the phased out GN6 sold 481 units in total.

“More than 3,000 Filipinos have partnered with GAC and Astara Philippines in 2024, a powerful affirmation of our shared vision for the future of mobility,” expressed Luis Torres, Country Manager, Astara Philippines. “We are grateful for their trust and look forward to a continued collaboration, delivering unparalleled mobility solutions that redefine the driving experience.”

Further propelling the brand’s success is its expanding dealership network, now boasting 31 locations nationwide, with more set to open in 2025.

GAC Motor is exclusively distributed in the country by mobility company, Astara Philippines, itself a part of the global Astara network.

    1. It's all relative. If you're a 1st-time car owner or someone coming from a Wigo or a Mirage, then I supposed you'd be impressed by an emzoom. But if you're coming from say, a CR-V or a Rav4), then umm no.

  4. Please don’t be fooled by those brand ambassadors, they are not liable for false advertisement or responsible enough to own mistakes

  5. Dito nalalaman ang standard ng isang tao. Yung iba, they will advertise a brand that they believe in. Yung iba, they will advertise a brand when they get paid nicely.

  6. Gac should pay ding dong well. Once the endorsement deal is done he can't sell this car fast enough to make room for his real cars

  7. Huwag siraan sa personality, do you think Ding dong is that kind of person? Pangit ugali nag sisira ng tao na hindi naman totoo, you against him because he choose China car, what wrong with that, if China car is really good. Talaga maganda ang Gac auto, not because sa price, but matipid sa gas at maneuverability ang gac emzoom.

    1. This made me chuckle a little bit. I suspect it has more to do with the 0% downpayment, 5-yrs to pay scheme GAC is offering to lure in customers. But the emzoom (what a name) and the gs8 do look pretty good, I'll give you that.
