2018 Volvo XC60 Brings Swedish Style to Mid-sized SUV Class (w/ 15 Photos)

Replacing a model that accounts for 30 percent of your global sales sounds like a daunting task, but it seems the all-new Volvo XC60 is up to the challenge. It’s been a full 9 years since the world first saw Volvo’s premium mid-sized SUV and now, an all-new one has bowed in at the Geneva International Motor Show.

Honda isn’t exactly doing that well in Formula One, but that’s not stopping the Japanese powerhouse from launching its hottest hatchback yet: the all-new Civic Type-R. After being shown as a concept, the first-ever global Type-R model (it will be sold in Japan, Europe, and North America), is now here. And the all-new Civic Type-R has been engineered from the ground-up as an expression of “dynamic purity.”

Subaru is finally showing off the full model change of its diminutive urban crossover: the Subaru XV. Unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show, the 2018 Subaru XV represents the first model change for the nameplate since its debut in 2012. The all-new Subaru XV promises distinctive design, enhanced drivability on poor road surfaces, world-class safety, and advanced driver-responsive handling and comfort.

The Mitsubishi Eclipse is Officially Back as Eclipse Cross (w/ 21 Photos)

The Mitsubishi Eclipse is back. And no, your eyes aren’t deceiving you; it’s a crossover. Set to debut at the 87th Geneva International Motor Show next week, Mitsubishi is resurrecting the nameplate of its storied coupe, calling it the Eclipse Cross. The Eclipse Cross is a global model that will be sold in Europe first, but will eventually make it to other markets such as Japan, North America, Australia, and other regions.

Ferrari 812 Superfast is the Last of Its Kind

If reports are to be believed, then you’re looking at the last normally-aspirated V12 Ferrari ever. Ladies and gentlemen, presenting the Ferrari 812 Superfast. Set to be launched at the 87th Geneva International Motor Show, the 812 Superfast is the most powerful and fastest car in Ferrari’s 70-year history and takes over the reins from the F12berlinetta and F12tdf.

Kia’s cutesy super mini is getting an extensive update this 2017 (for the 2018 model year) featuring a bolder exterior design and modern cabin. The all-new Kia Picanto, which officially bows in at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, will go on sale in Europe starting mid this year with other markets to follow shortly.

Mitsubishi Confirms Return of Eclipse as a Crossover

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation is confirming that the Eclipse name is returning; only this time, it’ll be on a crossover. As previously reported, the Eclipse name will be used on a new compact crossover. The Eclipse Cross will make its international debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

Is This is All-New Mitsubishi Eclipse?

Say it ain’t true, but if they are, you’re just staring at the all-new Mitsubishi Eclipse. Wait—isn’t the Eclipse supposed to be a sporty two-door coupe with a turbocharged 4G63 engine? Well, in 1990s yes. But this is 2017 and Mitsubishi’s about to slap on that nameplate on a…crossover.

Maserati finally shows off the brand’s first-ever SUV with the Levante. The Levante will be key in tapping new markets and increasing sales for the Italian brand. It joins Maserati’s existing range of sedans and sports cars: the Quattroporte, Ghibli, GranTurismo, and GranCabrio models.

Ford Focus RS Goes Global, Packs 320-Horsepower EcoBoost Engine and All-Wheel Drive

Ford enters the hot hatch foray with its Focus RS which has been officially shown at the Geneva Motor Show. The highest performing variant of their compact hatchback, the Focus RS slots above the Focus ST and is part of the Blue Oval’s plan to deliver 12 new vehicles (including the Ford GT) under the Ford Performance brand by the year 2020. The all-new Focus RS gets a 2.3-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine and all-wheel drive for the very first time.

Maserati showed off its collaborative effort with the maison of Trivero, Ermenegildo Zegna at the Geneva Motor Show. Available starting later this year, the Ermenegildo Zegna editions of the Maserati Ghibli and Quattroporte models carry new exterior and interior elements and will be offered as an option.

The Ford Fiesta R2 is the Perfect Grass Roots Rally Car

Fancy doing some sideways dirt rallying action in a Ford Fiesta EcoBoost? And we’re not talking about the purpose-built WRC car here; we’re talking about the 1.0-liter EcoBoost. Well, your wish has just been fulfilled as Ford Motor Company announced that its 1.0-liter 3-cylinder EcoBoost engine equipped Fiesta has just been homologated by the FIA in the R2 rally class.

Goodyear rolled out two concept tires at the Geneva Motor Show which the company says will radically change the role of tires in the cars of the future. Though they are purely concepts at this point, Goodyear says they may play a role in developing practical innovations in the near future.

Honda just turned bat shit crazy and pulled the curtains off their most insane car yet: the 2015 Civic Type-R. After a long five-year wait, Honda’s hot hatch has returned (at least in Europe) packing a 310-horsepower engine driving the front wheels. The front wheels. Oh, the insanity.

Hyundai has just taken the wraps off the all-new Tucson and they’re hoping to push the envelope with its cutting-edge design and available technology. The third-generation compact crossover represents a significant step forward for the Korean carmaker and aims to be the poster child for the tagline, “New Thinking, New Possibilities”. It’s powered by a wide range of engines and, for the first time, will be made for Europe (at least for the European market).

Subaru Levorg Goes to Europe and this Dramatically Increases the Chance of Seeing It Here

After saying that its Levorg (essentially a WRX wagon) will remain a Japanese Domestic Model (JDM), Subaru has officially revealed that they will now start to sell it in Europe. Proof? The Japanese car company has revealed their show outline for the upcoming 85th Geneva International Motor Show and one of them is the Levorg. It will be shown with European specifications for the very first time.

Ferrari 488 GTB is the Newest Turbo Addition to the Family

Ferrari opens up a new chapter in its history by unveiling the 488 GTB—the newest car in the Prancing Horse’s stable to pack a turbocharged engine under its shapely body.
