After being slapped with Australia’s largest fine levied against a carmaker due to its defective PowerShift dual clutch transmission, Ford just got hit with yet another fine, this time in Thailand for the very same issue. A report from the Associated Press says a Thai court has ordered Ford to pay 291 customers a total of USD 720,000 (~ P 39 million).

Mid-cycle facelifts are mostly just that, facelifts. More often than not, carmakers slap on a new grille, bumpers, and rims, stand back, congratulate themselves, and call it a day; saving the best bits for the next-generation model. But that’s not the case over at Ford. Yes, the Fiesta has also undergone the ubiquitous nose lift late last year (a radical one at that), but more importantly, the main mechanical bit, the engine, has been completely stripped out; all for the better.

Ford Philippines Launches Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost; Sales Start Next Month

Ford Philippines has finally completed the Fiesta line-up by introducing the much awaited 1.0 EcoBoost variant. It makes its Philippine debut tonight at the 2013 Auto Focus Motor Show at the SM Mall of Asia grounds. The 2013 Auto Focus Motor Show runs until Sunday, November 10 for the public.

There is only one variant of the new Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost and that comes in the form of the range-topping Sport+. Priced at P 898,000, it's available solely as a 5-door hatchback and can be had in six colors. And confirming rumors, the 1.0 EcoBoost comes with an automatic Power Shift dual clutch transmission.
