Review: 2024 Honda CR-V RS e:HEV
Throughout its six generations, the Honda CR-V has never been afraid to experiment. From offering an underfloor picnic table in the first-generation model, cramming ten seats in the second-generation model, to a diesel engine and seven seats in the fifth-generation model, this compact SUV is designed as if it’s got a feel of the market’s pulse as a whole. With the sixth-generation model, Honda has done it again with the introduction of two things: the RS badge and a strong hybrid system called the e:HEV.

Review: 2024 GWM Haval H6 HEV Supreme
Chinese carmakers, pay attention. This is your gold standard. The past five years or so, we’ve seen brands sprout up like mushrooms all from the Middle Kingdom. And like fungi that thrive in dark, damp places, none of them deserve to be in the limelight. They’d be great for a couple of days or so, but something always throws you off. Until now. The GWM Haval H6 shows us that when they get their act together, they could make pretty compelling cars.

Review: 2024 Honda CR-V 1.5 V Turbo
P 2.1-million—until now, I find this price tag hard to swallow, especially when I’m talking about the Honda CR-V. Whether the P 361,000 gap between this, the entry-level CR-V 1.5 V Turbo, and the HR-V RS Turbo is tied to inflation or some potential product slotting in-between, but whatever the reason, it does put this compact SUV under pressure. With a low sticker price no longer a USP, what could be the reasons be for people to consider the all-new CR-V?

Shock News: Mazda To Stop CX-8 Production By December

Review: 2024 Mazda CX-60 3.3 HEV Turbo
The CX-60 occupies a narrow space in the market between two more traditional segments: the two-row compact SUV and the three-row mid-sized SUV. With that, it must deliver enough differentiation either to entice buyers to move up (in the case of compact SUVs) or move laterally (in the case of mid-sized SUVs). Either way, it’s got its work cut out. Having sampled the diesel-powered CX-60 3.3 HEV Turbo-D Sport before, I’d say that Mazda managed to get about 80 percent of it right. It isn’t perfect, but ultimately there’s still lots to like.

Review: 2024 Subaru Crosstrek 2.0i-S
Whenever a carmaker comes up with a new nameplate, it comes with the expectation that the overall experience would be new and transformative. Yet when Subaru decided to axe the “XV” name in favor of “Crosstrek,” the resulting crossover feels like it took two steps forward and two steps back. It continues the Subaru XV’s careful, and at times, painfully slow evolution. To be fair, the crossover formerly known as the XV, is hard to beat. Among its competitors—the beautiful Mazda CX-30 among them—the Crosstrek is the one we’d take in a heartbeat. It’s a bit boring, sure, but it’s just so well-attuned to our road conditions be it in design, packaging, and safety.

Review: 2023 BMW iX3 M Sport
The peculiar thing about EVs is that they tend to look like spaceships. Whether it’s to tout their impressive packaging or to visually communicate them at being at the bleeding edge of tech, they stand out. This is great for some, but for others who don’t want to daily drive something that looks like an extra from Star Trek, thankfully BMW’s come to the rescue with the BMW iX3.

Review: 2024 Mazda CX-60 3.3 HEV Turbo-D Sport
The first-ever CX-60 is something Mazda must get right; after all, it’s representative of their premium aspirations. Though some may say that it started with the current Mazda3 and CX-30, those vehicles didn’t command much of a price premium over the competition to warrant raised eyebrows. The CX-60, on the other hand, nips at the heels of real luxury with its P 2.890-million price tag. This begs the question: did they get it right or will it serve as a reality check that’ll send them crashing down?

Review: 2023 Honda HR-V RS Turbo Honda SENSING
You are looking at the best variant of the current-generation Honda HR-V. Having driven the base HR-V S (and even pitting it against the Hyundai Creta) and the mid-grade HR-V V Turbo, I can now, with absolute certainty, say that those variants simply pale in comparison to the HR-V RS Turbo. Generally, I’m allergic to recommending a variant that’s been dolled up by a body kit and a few extra features, but Honda’s actually dug deep to make this not just the best iteration of the HR-V yet, but one of the best compact crossovers around.

Review: 2023 Hyundai Tucson 2.0 GLS
Expectations are a powerful thing. It has this way of re-wiring your brain, and could be enough to swing an opinion on a car from being awesome to just being meh. With its stunning looks and sheer number of international accolades, expectations have been running high on the all-new Tucson, Hyundai’s entry in the ultra-competitive compact SUV segment. Sadly, it is one that does not live up to all the hype.
