Nissan Philippines Confirms: We Are Bringing in the Urvan A/T

Nissan Philippines, Inc. is finally giving what super-sized Filipino families are looking for: an Urvan with an automatic transmission.

Speaking to the Philippine media at the sidelines of the global launch of the all-new Nissan Leaf in Tokyo, Nissan Philippines President and Managing Director Ramesh Narasimhan confirmed that Filipino buyers are finally getting an automatic transmission variant of its best-selling Urvan Premium.

Though the exact date and pricing have yet to be finalized, Mr. Narasimhan said that the Urvan Premium A/T will be launched sometime in October. Likely though, it will be launched towards the latter part of that month with a suggested retail price not more than P 70,000 over the manual transmission variant. This means, expect the Urvan Premium to retail for about P 1,720,000 making it cheaper than its direct competitor, the Toyota Hiace GL Grandia which currently retails for P 1,742,000.

Nissan Philippines is confident of doubling the sales of the Urvan with the release of the automatic variant.
