Ford Performance Is No More. Long Live Ford Racing

Ford Performance—the Ford’s high-performance division and the one responsible for vehicles like the Ranger Raptor—is no more. Taking its place is Ford Racing—and as the new name suggests, it’s taking the entire company, racing.

The Ford Racing brings Ford’s road and racing operations together—leadership, engineers, designers—under one roof. Their mission is to infuse the technological innovation and passion they derive from racing into the products that customers can drive.

The Ford Racing identity will come to life starting in January at Dakar, Daytona, and at a bespoke season launch event. After which, it will compete in the highest levels of motorsports including F1, Dakar, Le Mans, Bathurst, and Daytona.

  1. Yung PR and damage control teams nila certainly are high performance. At least clear na expectations. No performance, race na lang.

  2. From my perspective, as far as Vehicle Development is concerned, Performance is still part of Racing.
Ford just levelled it up, to encompass a wider area of Vehicle Development. If done successfully, it will suit not only their corporate goal (prestige in races won), but also cater to the satisfaction of customers as well (well-rounded products).
