Mazda PH Finally Reveals 2020 MX-5 Prices; Now Starting at P 1.980-million
After its preview at the Mazda Premium event last January, Mazda Philippines has finally released the pricing of its 2020 MX-5. The good news is that overall equipment is up compared to the 2019 model; bad news is that pricing is up considerably on all trims.

Driving the Mazda MX-5 Race Car Reminded Me of Dreams That Long Faded
As the Fast and Furious’s only Asian hero, I have to admit: I had fantasies playing Han Lue; after all, who wouldn’t want to lock lips with Gal Gadot while driving a sportscar. Yes sir, I’ve always wanted to get down Han style if I were 20 year younger, 20 pounds lighter, and well, 20 million pesos richer. Sad to say, that dream has faded, and I was pretty content to move on with my life.

Why the Mazda MX-5 Remains Loved for 30 Years
Signs pointed out, “Welcome home [to] Hiroshima” around Mazda’s Miyoshi Proving Ground. Here, around 2,300 MX-5 descended onto the track in celebration of the roadster’s 30th anniversary; also in attendance were 102 members from the Miata Club of the Philippines and the MX-5 Club of Malaysia. There were other countries in attendance as well from Australia to Thailand to Italy to the United Kingdom, but none as big as the contingent from the Philippines.

This is the Purest Road-Going MX-5 ND According to Global Ambassador Nobuhiro Yamamoto
Glancing through Nobuhiro Yamamoto’s CV is enough to convince you that he’s cut his teeth doing go-fast Mazdas. After joining the Japanese carmaker in 1973, he worked on rotary engines culminating in their 24 Hours of Le Mans winning effort with the 787B in 1991. It was only fitting that after that, he became the program manager for the MX-5 including the current-generation ND.

Mazda Philippines Turns Over First 10 Units of MX-5 30th Anniversary Edition
The first 10 units of the rare Mazda MX-5 30th Anniversary Edition were received by their new owners during a simple ceremony held at the Mazda Premium Experience pavilion in Bonifacio High Street, Taguig City last Sunday. The keys of the limited-edition MX-5s were personally handed over by Tom Matano, the legendary designer of the iconic first-generation Mazda MX-5 NA, and Susumu Niinai, General Manager of the ASEAN Business Office, Mazda Motor Corporation.

For P 2.990M Mazda Philippines Brings in the Ultra-Rare MX-5 30th Anniversary Edition
After a lengthy pre-selling that started in February, the limited-edition Mazda MX-5 30th Anniversary Edition has finally arrived in the Philippines. And as a pleasant surprise, Bermaz Auto Philippines announced that they have managed to increase their allocation from 20 to 30 units. This means that one percent of the total 3,000-unit global production run is in the Philippines.
