Review: 2019 Suzuki Swift GLX CVT

A wise person once advised not to judge a book by its cover. If you do, it might walk (or in this case, drive) away without having told its story. Such is my experience with the 2019 Suzuki Swift GLX. Admittedly, when I hear the brand, the only model that comes to mind is the Jimny; that is, until now.

Review: 2018 Suzuki Swift 1.2 GL M/T

“Simplify, then add lightness.” That was the principle that guided Colin Chapman in founding Lotus Cars. And while Chapman may have only thought of applying that thinking to exotic hand-built sportscars, there’s one commuter car that adheres to this philosophy, and because of that has come out as the best sub-compact hatchback out there: the 2018 Suzuki Swift.

Review: 2015 Suzuki Swift 1.2 A/T

Photos by Ulysses Ang
Pssst…you want in on a little secret? If you’ve been dying to get an affordable, fun-to-drive, and frugal hatchback, consider the Suzuki Swift 1.2. What? You haven’t looked at the Swift? Well, I don’t exactly blame you. With the constant marketing barrage from bigger automotive brands, the Swift has always been left out as a top-of-mind choice when it comes to getting a great sub-compact hatch. In fact, its odd-looking and oddly-named brother, the DZire got more attention, but for all the wrong reasons. So, in the spirit of marketing equality, I’m here to announce: if you want to get a great hatchback, head over to your nearest Suzuki dealership.

Spice World: Going to India with Suzuki

Photos by Ulysses Ang

In fact, India is a true microcosm of the world; a country where polar opposites meet and seem to coexist: overflowing wealthy to extreme poverty, highly-urbanized super cities to untouched rural landscapes. This is the sort of world where Suzuki flourishes, one where they are considered the unrivalled number one.
