Refreshed Peugeot 2008 Shows Off New Shifter Design

The Peugeot 2008 sub-compact SUV has just been teased for the Philippine market with a possible launch at the Manila International Auto Show, but in Europe, it’s already seen with its first minor refresh.

Fast Autoworld Philippine Corporation (FAPC) opens its newest Mitsubishi dealership in Bulua, Cagayan de Oro. It is their 11th dealership under the brand. FAPC is one of the most established and expansive in the entire Mitsubishi network with existing ones in Visayas, namely Mandaue, Cebu South, Mactan, Tacloban, Ormoc, Dumaguete, and Tagbilaran, as well as Mindanao, which are at Butuan, Ozamiz, and Gusa.

Remember the Hyundai Alcazar? Well, it’s now being sold outside of India, under a different name: the Grand Creta. Now sold in Latin America as well as South Africa, the Grand Creta is essentially a stretched version of the Creta sub-compact SUV made to accommodate seven seats.

Review: 2022 Peugeot 5008 1.6 THP SUV

Seven-seat SUVs are desirable, there’s no doubt about that. A glance at the local sales charts reveal that Filipinos can’t get enough of them. Priced at P 1.798 million, it undercuts all other EVs be it from China, Korea, or Japan.

Bentley Motors announced its global operating profits in 2021 reached 389 million euros, representing a 1,845 percent spike from the British luxury marque’s 20-million euros result the previous year. The latest figure is more than double Bentley’s previous record full-year performance set in 2014.

Honda is committed to expand its electrified product especially in Europe. This will result in their widest line-up in that continent in many years.

17-year-old Bianca Bustamante has secured a full-season drive in the 2022 W Series, racing in the Tatuus F3 T-318 formula car. Bustamante will be one of the youngest drivers on the grid and the only driver selected on this year’s grid to come straight out of karting. The selection comes as a result of Bustamante’s impressive performance at the official W Series Pre-Season test, held recently in March at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, a circuit she will compete at later this year as a support race to the Formula 1 Grand Prix calendar.

BYD, the world’s second-largest electric vehicle maker, announced that it’s building its next-generation vehicles using the NVIDIA Drive Hyperion architecture. This platform, based on Drive Orin, is now in production, and is powering at least 25 EV makers building software-defined vehicles on high-performance, energy-efficient computing technology.
