Suzuki Philippines Updates Swift 1.2 and Swift Dzire 1.2

Suzuki Philippines has given their pint-sized bestsellers, the Swift 1.2 and Swift Dzire 1.2 some cosmetic enhancements to round off its year. These two models, known for their great value and fuel efficiency, now get improved looks though no mechanical changes have been made.

For the Swift 1.2 hatchback, the changes start with the new front grille and chrome fog lamp bezel. The front bumper has also been modified to give it a sharper look while the alloy wheels feature wider spokes.

Inside, the seats have a new diagonal pattern and the seatback now folds in a 60/40 split for added cargo space when needed. The integrated audio system has also been swapped to a navigation-ready touchscreen system capable of playing a multitude of audio and video formats.

Still available in both manual and automatic transmission versions, the Swift 1.2 now retails for P 628,000 for the manual and P 668,000 for the automatic. In comes in Solid Fire Red, Metallic Silky Silver, Prime Artic White, Pearl Midnight Black, and Metallic Glistening Gray.

Meanwhile, the much maligned Swift Dzire 1.2 gets a much needed refresh to give it a snazzier style. Like the Swift, it gets a new front grille (with a chrome insert for the higher-end model) and chrome fog lamp bezels. Smoked headlamps and new 14-inch alloy wheels complete the transformation.

Inside, it has a new all-black interior with silver accents and highlights. It also has a touchscreen audio head unit that’s navigation ready. The seats also feature a new fabric pattern depending on the variant.

The all-new Swift Dzire comes in two variants, the GA and GL, with the manual transmission GA coming in at P 568,000 while the automatic transmission GL retails for P 718,000. In comes in a wide array of colors as well: Prime Alp Blue, Prime Artic White, Metallic Silky Silver, Metallic Magma Gray, and Pearl Sangria Red.

    1. Hi there, care to elaborate? I am about to buy a dzire tomorrow. I was talked into it by my agent. I actually wanted a mirage g4 but my agent says that dzire is way more fuel efficient, has 4 cylinders, 2 torques, 87hp, etc. Do any of these really matter? I'm really hoping to get advice.
