2022 RAV4 Hybrid Now At Toyota Dealerships Nationwide (w/ Brochure)

After confirming its arrival last month (and sharing a couple of photos early on), Toyota Motor Philippines has finally released all the details of the 2022 RAV4 Hybrid.

Unlike previous Hybrid offerings from Toyota like the Camry, Corolla Altis, and Corolla Cross, the 2022 RAV4 Hybrid comes not just in one, but two variants—the entry-level XLE and the top-of-the-line LTD. You can check out the full specs below, or read through to find out the difference between the two variants.

For 2022, all variants of the RAV4 Hybrid benefit from projector-type LEDs with automatic high-beam. The same LED lighting technology is found in the front fog lamps and rear combination lamps. In terms of differences, the LTD gets beefier 18-inch wheels with 225/60R18 tires to the XLE’s 225/65R17s. Moreover, the LTD adds auto folding side view mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, an aluminum-finish on its roof rail, and a moon roof.

Inside, both variants benefit from a smart entry system with push-button engine start/stop as well as a power tailgate (although only the LTD gets a kick sensor). Entertainment is provided by a 7-inch display audio system with DVD, Bluetooth, and USB functionality as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A wireless device charger is also standard as well. Adding luxury niceties to the LTD are leather seats, an 8-way powered driver’s seat with memory, and a larger (7-inch) multi-information display.

Under the hood, both variants of the RAV4 Hybrid come solely with a 2.5-liter Dynamic Force engine mated to an electric motor. All in all, the system generates a total of 218 horsepower and 221 Nm of torque. This is then connected to a CVT gearbox driving the front wheels.

For safety, the RAV4 Hybrid features the Toyota Safety Sense or TSS as standard. It gives functionalities such as Pre-Collision System, Automatic High Beam, Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Departure Alert, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. Also standard are 7 SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, stability control, and front and rear parking sensor. Meanwhile, the LTD further adds Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and a 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor.

The 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is now available in six colors for the XLE (three in stock: Gray Metallic, Silver Metallic 3, and White Pearl Crystal Shine, and three indent: Super White II, Red Mica, and Grayish Blue) for P 2,157,000, while the LTD and its six colors: Urban Khaki, Attitude Black Mica, White Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Metallic 3, Grayish Blue Mica, and Red Mica are all under indent for P 2,500,000.

  1. Good to see more hybrids in the country.

Bummer though that there is still no AWD RAV4 in PH, but I suspect that an AWD variant will be very expensive.

    1. Yeah. Likely the price will be around P 2.550M which is crazy expensive for a compact SUV. On its own, the 4x2 LTD is already the most expensive compact SUV in the market.

  2. I hate Toyota interior but for 2.1M you get a 2.5 Hybrid CUV with ADAS features. When Peugeot 3008 just released theirs for the same price.

This could be the best compact SUV available now.

  3. the new 3008 seems like a better buy if you just want nice interior, also cant wait for the new cx-5

did you guys just seriously compare it with a Peugeot? do you people have any idea how difficult it is to own one in the Philippines?

    1. im 5;26 anon, i practically live in two placs and between them is the peugeot dealership, so for me, at least, if im gonna buy one between the 3008 and this, i will go 3008 since i mostly care about interior amenities (large infotainment, panoramic moonroof, design etc), you can easily impress your friends, coworkers and for non enthusiasts the peugeot badge is "luxury", even tho its 400k cheaper actually, you can argue that rav4 will have better driving etc but those are not on top of my list.

just look at the 7 inch infotainment of the rav4 man, for 2.5m, it also has only 6 speakers, the interior is plasticky and the 2.1m variant has fabric seats, its just outrageous, tho i udnerstand people will still buy this because its proven durable and toyota makes good hybrids.

tho im waiting for the cx-5 honestly, cant wait to see local variants, also i hope they dont overprice it

    2. so your goal is to impress your peers? err how old are you by the way?

    3. I love nice interiors but 2.5 engine plus hybrid makes this a great SUV.

3008 is a good alternative choice of course as it's always the left field choice in other countries too.

I'm comparing these 2 since both are launched at the same price point and same month.

Forester will launch one anytime now so let's see how that stacks up. Where are you new CX -5? Hehe.

    4. the 3008 is not a good alternative for the majority. it's targeted to a niche audience, which is yung malapit sa casa at yung mahaba ang pasensya

      Delete
    5. Bruh that's the exact definition of left field choice, not among the mainstream choices, hence alternative.

The choice if you want to be little different, eccentric. Alternative means hindi mainstream options.

    6. why is that your only takeaway, i already said I (emphasis on I) prefer nice interiors when buying an suv and that the dealership is near me. Im not saying 3008 is better, but as i said on my first comment, if people just want nice interior at 2.1m (maybe even against at the TOTL 2.5m), 3008 has it better over the rav4.

and just like i said on my reply to you, its IF im choosing between this too, since honestly my choice is still the cx-5, doesnt matter of if my peers arent impressed, im all in for the fit and finish of the interior, driving dynamics is just a bonus for me.

what you're looking for is a living room. punta ka na lang sa furniture store at dun ka bumili para ma-satisfy ang urges mo.

    8. thats just a sad reply, im not even pushing you to agree with me, we just compared rav4 to 3008 kasi magkasunod sila nilabas and atthe same price point, if you just said you would choose the rav4 for whatever reason i would respect it, even if you said you would still prefer rav4's tacky interior (i mean, even the base raize has a larger info display with 8" compared to the 2.5m rav4) i would still respect it

oh well, ayos ayos ko pa makipag engage tapos out of the blue ganun reply lmao sad, makapunta na nga lang furniture store baka may leather seats sila dun na hindi aabutin ng 2.1m

    9. that's because you're obsessed with car interiors, even putting it above driving dynamics and presumably reliability, fuel efficiency, resale value, etc. the thought of someone thinking like that is hilarious to me, hence the lack of effort to "engage" with my replies

    10. oh man, i just said 3008 has better interior, and just because rav4 has better presumed reliability etc, doesnt necessarily mean that the 3008 is unrealiable. also those things you listed, studies showed people dont really care about those, they buy what they want and/or what they can afford. Testament to this are the best sellers in the country, also, some of them are known to be unreliable (e.g. for ecosport).

why cant you understand that different people want different things in cars. going by your logic lexus shouldnt exist since toyota is already reliable, why bother for better interior right? porsches (bad fuel efficiency) and benzes (realiability issues and low resale value) wouldnt sell either.

if those things are what you are looking for fine, but dont belittle others who have different taste than you, and resale value?, man, we arent really the same, thats just the world we live in

      Delete
    11. if you think people buy lexus for interiors, you're in for a big surprise.

      porsches sell because... performance. duh.

well I completely understand that some buy cars for even the dumbest reasons. for example, buying a car just to impress their peers with fancy interiors

      Delete
    12. people buy lexus because they are leathered toyotas, its that simple, but what i said is that based on your logic lexus shouldnt even exist, if everyone has presumed reliability fuel efficieny resale value etc on the top of their list, then why did toyota bother to even make the lexus brand? why do premium brands with reliability issues (jaguar land rover) even exist? and continue to make proft?

if you think posrche sells because of performance, then you are dumb, yeah porsche has 911 but its the macan and cayenne that sells by a large margin. majority of people who buy them are after their badge (almost every reviewer says that), interior fit and finish, and the simple design (interior layout and exterior design), they dont really care about fuel efficiency and the handling was just a bonus. my sources? articles that contain data and consumer feedbacks from porsche

can you please come up a new one, i never claimed that i buy cars just to impress peers, i just said people who will buy the 3008 will impress their peers more than those in the rav4, "you can easily impress your friends, coworkers", and it was already clear, maybe you are just dumb repeating the same argument that i never claimed, good lord i hope your pea sized brain can still kepp up

      Delete
    13. you just shot yourself in the foot. people buy lexus because they're leathered toyotas?! hahaha! what kind of nutjob comes up with that kind of stuff? hey, what about bigger more powerful engines? better NVH and more comfortable ride? better tech too. lexus is just more than just "leathered toyotas" you know.

palusot ka pa. aminin mo na lang, gusto mo ma impress ibang tao at makita nila your're driving a Peugeot para mag mukhang naka "luxury" car ka kuno. you said it yourself haha

      Delete
    14. i thought you were well informed about these, but obviously not, thats what leathered toyota means, toyota reliability with features of a merc, they had to buy a merc s class to study it to launch the LS. goodness, the more you talk the more you sound like a troll, this needs to stop before i stoop down to your level

why would i drive a peugeot when i can have a cx-5, i even said that it was my choice overall, oh well sounds like your brain couldnt even comprehend everything you read, or if you can read well at all since you never answered a lot of my arguments and kept pushing things i never claimed, bye, go have fun with your rav4 or whatever you are driving, im fine with my cx-30, with the white leather and the 12 bose speaker. infotainment size is generous too

    15. nag imbento pa ng term para mag mukhang may alam. baka kayo lang ng like-minded peers mo gumagamit nyan. hahaha

  5. Got to see one in the flesh. The variants we are getting seems to have lithium-ion batteries instead of nickel m-hydride

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. is that better? or worse? please enlighten me

      Delete
    2. Nickel metal-hydride is toyota's tried and tested battery source. They like it for it's cheaper cost (Replacing one will also be cheaper for the customers. Not sure if that'll last since batteries are taking over) Li-ion is more mainstream, costs more for the demand.

  6. The reason why other colors of RAV4 XLE Hybrid and RAV4 LTD Hybrid are in Indent Order because of the ongoing crisis to the Semiconductor chips.

  7. When I went to Toyota Silang yesterday, there was no display of a RAV4. The Raize is the one prominently displayed.
