Ford Philippines Is Recalling Everest, Ranger, And Mustangs Because They Can Kill You

Ford Philippines is recalling approximately 32,900 vehicles locally because they can possibly injure or kill you. This exact phrase is found in Ford’s very own website which points to the urgency of the recall covering the Ranger, Everest, and Mustang.

The recall covers 2006-2014 Everest, 2004-2006 Ranger, 2006-2011 Ranger, and 2005-2014 Mustang models.

According to the American carmaker, these vehicles are found to be part of the global Takata airbag recall. Both the driver and front passenger airbag are fitted with faulty inflators which could seriously injure or even kill you and/or passengers in an accident.

To make it easier for customers to track Takata airbag related recalls, they have activated a special VIN checker (click here for the link).

They’re also reiterating the existence of a Field Service Action Tracker on their website (click here for the link).

Customers just need to punch in their 17-digit VIN to determine if their vehicle is affected by any recall. Alternatively, they can contact their nearest Ford dealership, or their Customer Relations Center at +63 2 8866 9408 or 1-800-10736-3673.

The 17-digit VIN is listed on the vehicle registration document, finance statement, and insurance paperwork. It also appears on the passenger side of the customer’s vehicle, between the windscreen and the dashboard.

“The safety of our customers and their vehicles remains our top priority. With our online tracking tools, we’re able to provide our customers easy and convenient access to service actions required for their vehicles to ensure their optimal performance,” said Patrick Manigbas, director, Ford Customer Service Division.

“We have created separate tracking tools to ensure that our customers know what to access to know the status of their Ford vehicles,” Manigbas added.

Aside from the online tracking tools, customers are also notified by Ford on service-related actions through direct mail.

  1. Ford haters say: "Ford sucks because of recalls!!!"

The very same haters when other companies issue recalls: "Recalls are good because of the company's initiative to fix their cars."

    8. I enjoy the notoriety and being tagged as fraud/poser and as you may have observed my fans are seething with anger for not knowing so why spoil the fun?

Just avoid Ford if you can. There's nothing special and stand out in their current and forthcoming line-ups anyway. If you emo buy, perhaps the Mustang V8, but will rather buy a sporty coupe lexus or bmw instead.

    9. So you're an attention-seeking self-centered troll that basks in controversy instead of actually being useful and educational. ๐Ÿคก๐Ÿคก๐Ÿคก

No standouts? Ranger Raptor? What other manufacturers have that type of pick up? Also the new ranger and everest will be released soon.

    2. Another Ford PR spin pinagbabawal na technique: All brands are as crappy as Ford. Good luck. Its a sink and swim in the industry in the next 10 to 15 years as the world move to electrification. Relatively a level playing field for all brands, Chinese included. If Ford's recent "innovations" are any indication, I doubt they will have reliable breakthrough innovations in the EV space. Its presence outside the US will abruptly shrink as they wont be able to compete.

By then, Ford Philippines will just be only selling chinese-only models rebranded as Fords. Sad.

    4. Nope. Easily Kia as a brand ranks way higher than Ford in the US and globally, also on dependability, reliability. Try again.

Fair? Our 1st ever Kia hasnt given us even any minor hiccups after 3 years and counting. While you suffer reliability anxiety on day 1 of Ford ownership ๐Ÿ˜‚
