Watch Where Our Peugeot Models Are Made

Peugeot has released the “Made in ASEAN” video (watch it below) which offer an inside look at the manufacturing of its 2008, 3008, and 5008 SUVs in Gurun, Malaysia. Building in ASEAN is key to the internationalization of Peugeot worldwide and to its success in the region. The video also unveils the stringent testing of the SUVs on the region’s various roads and extreme climate to ensure uncompromising reliability for Peugeot’s customers.

Linda JACKSON, CEO of Peugeot: “We are proud to manufacture Peugeot vehicles with high-quality standards in ASEAN for our customers across Southeast Asia. Excellence is a fundamental brand value for Peugeot. The internationalization strategy is my priority for the Brand and customers are at the centre of all our actions”.

The Peugeot Made in ASEAN video details the manufacturing, quality, and endurance testing practices in place at the Stellantis plant in Gurun, Malaysia. The 2008, 3008 and 5008 SUVs underwent a combined 500,000 kilometers of testing in Malaysia, day and night, empty or fully loaded, on highways, in congested city traffic, uphill, downhill, and in intense heat or tropical wet conditions.

Gurun Plant is here to meet Peugeot’s sales momentum in South East Asia, where customers appreciate its top-of-the-range generalist positioning. Stellantis secured full ownership of NAZA Automotive Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. and its manufacturing plant located in Gurun, Kedah last 2021.

Within the India and Asia Pacific region, Stellantis operates through general distributors in 18 countries and markets. In ASEAN, it includes 9 countries: Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Brunei. The other markets are Taiwan, Hong Kong, Sri-Lanka, East Timor, Nepal, Bangladesh, Mongolia, New Caledonia, and French Polynesia.

  1. Any chance i mean sizes are close but far from the prices obviously, those 2008, hrv turbo, coolray, cs35 plus and raize turbo comparo? Someone would always say not in the same category but i'm still hoping for your honest take on those sub compact crossovers sir uly. I'm excluding the non turbo sub compact crossovers if someone would say about kona, stonic, or creta and venue. I just want to know sir uly's brutal honesty on those battle of turbo's.

    1. Raize Turbo is smaller than those other small SUVs you've mentioned..LOL!

    2. Yung presyo niya kasi andun na sa mga other turbo crossovers kaya ko sinama sa request. Di naman sa kung sino pinakamabilis or pinakareliable and so on.. just some insights from a professional like sir uly on what's his take on those vehicles. Iba pa rin yung opinion ng established names kesa sa mga biased na commenters dito. :)

    3. Just buy a grey market KDM Kona Diesel or Seltos Diesel if you really want a turbo'ed subcompact crossover. Thank me later.

  2. If i may add the tiggo 7 pro and ford territory too!

  3. sana dito ma rejuvenate din ang auto manufacturing/assembly......:(

  4. Bakit ang mahal ng 2008 e diba tax free if from malaysia? Asean free trade

  5. Peugeot should be proud if it's made in France.
