Kia PH Sales Are Up 71 Percent So Far In 2025

Kia Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, continues to be one of the fastest-growing brands among the country’s Top 10 automotive players. Based on the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) industry report for the first half of 2025, the brand sold 4,195 units—a 71 percent increase—from the same period in 2024. This makes Kia the tenth best-selling brand locally with a 1.82 percent market share.

“Throughout the years, Kia has firmly established itself as a strong force in the Philippine automotive landscape and with this new milestone, it shows how this continuously holds true till today,” said Jay Lopez, Managing Director of Kia Philippines. “With a compelling mix of innovative vehicles, growing nationwide presence, and a clear direction toward transformative mobility, Kia is shaping the future of mobility in a way that’s reliable, exciting, and built for the Filipino driver.”

The Sonet is Kia Philippines’ strongest seller with over 3,171 units sold (around 75 percent of all Kias sold). Meanwhile, the Sorento recorded an impressive triple-digit sales growth from the same period last year, demonstrating the rising demand for Kia’s hybrid offerings (read the review). The Carnival, another part of the brand’s hybrid line-up and fully-electric models such as the EV6 and EV9 help bring diverse powertrain options to Filipino consumers.

“Our strong first-half performance shows that more Filipinos are choosing Kia for its smart design, everyday reliability, and growing range of options. This momentum reflects our ability to connect with a new generation of drivers who value both innovation and practicality, especially through The Kia Movement,” said Lopez.

The Kia Movement is a nationwide initiative that unifies Kia’s product portfolio under a shared vision of progressive, sustainable, and customer-focused mobility. It highlights Kia’s commitment to offering stylish yet practical vehicles built for both today’s demands and tomorrow’s possibilities.

As Kia enters the second half of 2025, Kia remains focused on evolving its lineup and advancing its electrification efforts through innovation and customer-focused initiatives, ensuring it stays aligned with the shifting needs of today’s drivers.

  1. Happy to see the Sonet doing well. It offers real value and I was seriously considering buy one when I was shopping around recently.

On a separate note, I hope Kia gets more serious and considers bringing in more exciting (risky?) models into the country. I can only fantasize about how well the Ray EV would do in the country. haha

    1. might be costly to import? Also in the eyes of Kia, our market is still too small and risky to even considering bringing in that particular model. But same lol, I'd like to see them bring it here, Honda with their N-Van E: as well

  2. Kia PH still has a huge growth potential. They should bring over the K3, Syros, and Carens/Carens Clavis.

    1. the K3 is currently only made in Mexico, might be too expensive to import here.

And both the Syros and Carens are assembled in right hand drive countries. Until Kia would ever consider assembling left hand drive versions for export, we probably won't get it here.

    2. carens is also assembled in vietnam

    3. which primarily assembles right hand drive models

This case is probably similar as to why Honda can't simply bring in the WR-V, as there are no left hand drive models being assembled
