Remember that P 50,000 across the board price increase on all D-Max variants that happened as the government removed the excise tax exemption for pickup trucks? Apparently, that’s not the effective new SRP for Isuzu’s pickup truck just yet.
Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has confirmed that the company has yet to increase the price of its D-Max pickup trucks post excise tax. In fact, the carmaker is reiterating to would-be buyers that they should take this opportunity to buy one while they still can, especially as the “Ber” months is the peak buying season for brand-new cars.
With the excise tax raising pickup prices across the industry, IPC’s decision ensures that the Isuzu D-Max remains one of the most practical choices in the market today. Customers are encouraged to inquire and purchase now, while prices are held stable and before further adjustments take place.
“Now is truly the best time to experience the Isuzu D-Max. As we are treating our customers by holding off price increases on current D-Max stocks while supplies last. This buying season, we encourage customers to experience the strength, dependability, and value that the Isuzu D-Max delivers,” said Mr. Robert Carlos, IPC Sales Division Head.

I remember passing an Isuzu dealership the other week and saw a big "NO EXCISE TAX" sign.
ReplyDeleteThis only means that all the pickups they have that were imported before the excise tax are still on the lots and have not yet been sold. That's certainly something to think about.
Maybe they intentionally import many units b4 the excise tax
