United Asia Automotive Group Shows Strength In Numbers With Milestone Drive Event


Established automotive distributor and importer United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI) held a two-day drive event showcasing its four automotive brands: BAIC, Chery, Foton, and Lynk & Co. The ride and drive, with the theme “Choose your own adventure”, happened on June 24 and 25, taking members of the motoring media on a drive from Metro Manila to ACEA Beach Resort in Subic.

BAIC Philippines Signs 8 Dealer Partners, Starts Retail Sales By June


BAIC, which made its public launch at last month’s Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), signed eight dealer group partners to help them grow their retail and service network. These are: ANGs Automotive Group (Iloilo), Angcore Motor Group (Davao), AutoSpeedyGo Group (Marilao), Automotive Icon Inc. (Alabang), Autonomics Motor Corp (Tuguegarao), Laus Auto Group (Pampanga), Magnet Motors (Cagayan De Oro), and Oro Autoworld (Zamboanga). The dealerships are set to commence sales operations by the month of June.

BAIC Makes a Fake Lamborghini Urus


One Chinese carmaker wasted no time in copying the Lamborghini Urus ultra-luxury SUV. BAIC’s Huansu division just came with the Hyosow C60—an SUV that seats five or seven (the Urus seats four) and costs just a tenth of the Urus.
