13 Cars to Watch Out For in 2019
The Philippine automotive industry is seeking to rebound after the government’s implementation of TRAIN caused a derailment to growth in 2018. Collectively, carmakers are predicting a 10 to 15 percent rise in sales. While the growth will still be fueled mostly by attractive financing schemes, the bullish car industry is looking forward to new products to help spur this rebound.

Review: 2006 Audi A4
As early as three years into its life, Audi was pressured to come out with a new A4. When Audi engineers were already beginning to reach the same levels of driver satisfaction and build quality as the E46 3 Series, the new E90 3 Series was already on its way. Knowing all too well that the goal post was once again moving towards BMW's direction, the folks at Ingolstadt had to work fast. This was in 2002.

Pampanga Food Tripping With The BMW X1, X3, And 3 Series
It’s been eight years since BMW Philippines last held a ride and drive. The last one, if you were old enough to remember, was with the 2 Series Active Tourer way back in 2015. That was a different era: X was still Twitter, Facebook had a timeline (rather than a newsfeed), and there wasn’t any mad rush among motoring journos to hit, “publish” first on any story. Today, we’ve got a maniac in charge of X, Facebook’s now known as Meta, and journalists (me included) are more concentrated on churning out stories than anything else. It’s times like these I yearn for simpler times and thank goodness BMW’s managed to give that even for just one afternoon.

Review: 2022 BMW 520i Luxury
BMW is the undisputed market leader in luxury vehicles in the Philippines. But while they tend to do excellently sales-wise, they don’t offer the same leadership when it comes to creature comfort features. The foundations—the engine and platform—all tend to be solid, but they fall short when it comes to things that customers actually touch and feel like the trimmings and accruements.

BMW Goes Front-Wheel Drive with 2 Series Active Sport Tourer...Wait, What?!
Call it blasphemy, but BMW has finally thrown in the towel and is introducing the brand’s first front-wheel drive vehicle. There’s good reason to BMW’s madness though: the 2 Series Active Sport Tourer wants to achieve “particularly high levels of versatility and functionality in the premium compact class”. In other words, BMW is doing that Mercedes-Benz did with the B-Class. Done and dusted.

Review: 2023 BMW 530i M Sport
Few cars have such wide-ranging talents as the BMW 5 Series, and buyers seem to agree: it’s been at the heart of the German automaker’s range in every generation that’s been around (the current is the seventh). However, in the time when it has become almost the default choice, helped by the fact that it’s the best of its kind, it faces an interesting challenge: luxury crossovers. But as the demand for luxury sedans is shrinking, BMW isn’t going down without a fight. Their response is to come up with the best 5 Series since the legendary E39 generation.
