Drive Bold: Chrysler Philippines Launches New 300C

Auto Nation Group, Inc., the exclusive distributor of Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep automobiles in the country unveiled Chrysler’s interpretation of quintessential American luxury in the 2015 300C. Set to be the most technologically-advanced sedan of its class, it’s designed with the ideals of balance, elegance, sophistication, performance, and craftsmanship.

Big, bold, and proudly American, the 2015 Chrysler 300C delivers a more confident look with expressive materials and excellent execution. At the front, it has a redesigned front end with a more sculpted look. The taller and more prominent grille now features a unique dimensional texture wrapped with a chrome surround. The grille contains the Chrysler wing badge which appears to float—signifying the new “face of Chrysler”. Below the grille is a chrome Mobius strip which outlines the lower grille opening and extends outwards surrounding the LED fog lamps. Providing illumination, the 300C features bi-xenon HID headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights. Over at the side, the strong shoulder and high belt line pays homage to the 300C’s signature proportions while new chrome window surrounds and chrome mirrors with side indicators hint at the luxury within. At the back, it gets a newly sculpted LED tail lamps with an illuminated “halo”. The rear bumper now also integrates the polished twin exhaust tips for an athletic appearance. And finally, at each corner are 20-inch alloy wheels with 245/45R20 tires.

Inside, the 300C is both unique and beautiful with quilted Nappa leather, hand-sanded wood, and ultra-premium Poltrona Frau leather-wrapped instrument panel and console. Some of the new interior elements include a standard 7-inch full-color driver information display (DID) and a class-exclusive electronic rotary transmission shifter. A new three-spoke steering wheel with larger controls and die-cast paddle shifters complete the transformation. In terms of entertainment, it boasts of the newest Uconnect system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen display that plays a variety of audio formats including both SD and USB with the sound pumped out through a 9-speaker Alpine sound system with subwoofer.

More than just athletic looks, the new 300C is more capable and driver-focused than ever before. It starts with a new sport-tuned suspension with increased damping for better driver control and precision. The rear-wheel drive sedan also features a revised Sport mode that reduces shift times by almost 50 percent while increasing engine and throttle responsiveness. The same mode also firms up the steering feel of the new electric power steering system. And for even greater performance, the 3.6-liter Pentastar engine’s output is up to 286 horsepower at 6,350 rpm and 340 Nm of torque from 4,650 rpm. Capping everything off is a unique sport-tuned dual exhaust system.

With the TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission, the 300C balances performance with fuel economy. Aside from the electric power steering, other enhancements done to reduce fuel consumption include cast-aluminum axles and housing to reduce energy demand, weight, and friction.

In terms of safety, the 300C lives up to its “Top Safety Pick” thanks to its wide array of standard active and passive safety features. First, the full-speed Forward Collision Warning-Plus provides autonomous braking and under certain circumstances, slows or brings the vehicle to a full stop when frontal collision appears imminent. Second, it also has Adaptive Cruise Control-Plus with Full Stop that helps maintain distance from the vehicle and, under certain traffic conditions, can bring the vehicle to a full stop without driver intervention. Finally, a new Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist introduces subtle steering wheel input to alert the driver of inadvertent lane departure and assist with corrective action. Of course, slotting it into parking spaces is a cinch thanks to a ParkView Rear back-up camera with dynamic guidelines.

The Chrysler 300C continues the brand’s succession of innovative product introductions to solidify it as a leader in design, engineering, and value. The 2015 Chrysler 300C is available only in one variant and retails for P 3,550,000.

  3. ANG is pricing this car incorrectly for our market I think. It's price is equivalent to a Merc C-Class, even though both models' starting prices in the US peg the 300C as being $7,000 cheaper.
