The All-New Hino 200 Is The Toyota-Powered Light Truck Built For MSMEs (w/ Specs)

Hino Motors Philippines stirs up the country’s commercial vehicle industry with the launch of their newest and lightest truck line: the All-New Hino 200 Series.

Featuring the 315 and 415 models, these trucks are the ideal entry-level option for entrepreneurs seeking reliable transport for their business. With gross vehicle weight of 3,490 and 3,800 kilograms respectively, these trucks are optimized for loading while having the right features to tackle corners and narrow streets.

Being one of the largest vehicles in the N1 category, the 315 model maximizes business efficiency as it falls within B2 driver’s license restriction. Such category accommodates operating vehicles up to 3,500 kilograms GVW for the carriage of goods. With this, business owners are able to address operational disruptions from the lack of drivers for vehicles requiring higher license restrictions.

Powered by the Toyota 1GD-FTV engine, the all-new Hino 200 Series generates 144 horsepower output and pulls up to 300 Nm of torque. That’s best-in-class engine performance while offering better fuel efficiency at 2,755cc displacement. And with a trusted name for quality, business owners are assured of smooth operations minus the hassle of downtime.

With 4.7 meters turning radius, doing quick turns and navigating city streets are no longer an issue, while a rear chassis height of 705 millimeters makes loading and unloading of cargo more convenient. This means quicker drop-offs and overall efficient operations.

The 2023 200 Series is developed for micro, small to medium-sized enterprises (MSME), providing them with a transport solution that is durable, hauls at truck-load capacity, while having optimum maneuverability, a usual challenge for full-sized commercial vehicles. And with features like SRS airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) as options, owners have added layers of protection to keep the driver, vehicle and cargo safe during each trip.

Putting premium on driver’s welfare, the all-new Hino 200 Series is equipped with ergonomic seats along with double wishbone front suspensions that make driving more comfortable through rough roads and long distances. A stabilizer also helps with maneuverability, improving overall handling while reducing vehicle roll that contributes to driver fatigue. The interiors also feature generous cabin space with amenities for extra storage.

Through Hino’s Total Support, truck owners whether established or just beginning in their business enjoy the same level of assistance from the brand and its network of dealerships. By understanding the customer’s needs, Hino can tailor products and services to fit specific operations, all while ensuring maximized uptime and reducing operating costs.

In the business of mobility, the All-New Hino 200 Series is a smart investment to start or upgrade your game.

  1. The power (hp) and torque (nm) rating of this truck is less powerful than the 2.8 innova. Why this engine was detuned for truck?
