Kia Bids Stinger GT Goodbye With Limited-Edition Tribute Edition

Kia is bidding goodbye to its high-performance Stinger GT with the Stinger Tribute Edition. Limited to just 1,000 units worldwide, the Tribute Edition celebrates the sports sedan’s contribution to the brand since its introduction in 2017.

Building on the Stinger 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 GT specification (365 horsepower, 510 Nm of torque), the Stinger Tribute Edition elevates its aesthetic appeal. In addition to the Ascot Green paint finish, it can be had in the same color as the EV6 GT-Line—Moonscape matte gray.

Other changes include the black finish on the exterior mirrors, gloss-black 19-inch alloy wheels, and black Brembo brake calipers.

Inside, the Stinger Tribute edition sports terracotta brown leather on the seats and door side trims. A carbon effect finish has also been applied to the upper part of the center console and door panels. A wasp-shaped emblem is also embedded into the headrests of the seats and a numbered door sill plate on the driver’s side provides an authentication of exclusively.

Though not a direct replacement, the spirit of the Stinger GT lives on in the high-performance EV6 GT. This all-electric high-performance crossover comes with dual motors and all-wheel drive good for a total of 576 horsepower and 740 Nm of torque.

No word whether Kia Philippines will make this exclusive version of the Stinger GT available locally.

  1. Why not Kia build a battery-powered Stinger?

    1. That's where the EV6 GT comes in: https://www.carguide.ph/2022/08/kias-most-powerful-production-vehicle.html

Besides, the sedan market's shrinking so they'd rather do crossovers.

    2. Sad to see the sedan market shrinking. Hope it can still survive going into the electric era.
