Omoda Surpasses 100,000th Global Sales Milestone In Less Than One Year

Omoda has reached a new global sales milestone: it has managed to surpass 100,000-th unit sold in less than one year. The feat comes as the youth-oriented brand sold 16,686 units in August, a 6.04 percent month-on-month growth.

Aside from its strong sales growth, Omoda has also hit several milestones last month. For example, the Omoda 5 and Omoda 5 EV made their debuts at the Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) where it was awarded as the “Best Test Drive SUV.” Elsewhere, the Omoda 5 made its market debut in Costa Rica. In Spain, it became the official vehicle for the 2023 ITF W100 Disa Gran Canaria Women’s International Tennis Championship.

As a brand tailored to the new global generation, Omoda places significance on engaging with the younger demographic. This has led them to their “Art in Motion” design which offers a fresh sense of style.

They have also they’ve heeded the call to provide greener modes of mobility with the likes of the Omoda 5 EV. This battery electric crossover offers 204 horsepower and 340 Nm of torque from its single front-driven motor. This is enough for a 0 to 100 km/h of just 7.6 seconds. Its 61.06-kWh battery gives it a driving range of around 450 kilometers.

To date, Omoda has made its presence felt in over ten countries spanning Southeast Asia, Europe, Australia, and South America. It will be launching in the Philippines in the fourth quarter of this year.
