Lexus is announcing two separate service campaigns for the RZ and LX SUVs in the Philippines.
For the Lexus RZ, the customer satisfaction campaign covers a potential issue with its HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) system. Lexus has determined that certain HVAC software conditions may cause the heater and defroster to stop functioning, which could reduce visibility and increase the risk of accidents during cold or humid conditions.
The campaign involves having to re-program the Air Conditioning ECU and inspecting or replacing the electric compressor in affected vehicles which are:
- 173 units of The Lexus RZ 450e BEV (produced between November 28, 2023 to February 23, 2024)
- 20 units of Lexus RZ 300e BEV (produced between February 20, 2023 to December 22, 2023)
The affected vehicles contain an engine ECU with incorrect fuel injection programming. This issue may lead to abnormal fuel pressure changes, causing the warning light to activate and the vehicle to enter failsafe mode. In this mode, the car operates only on battery power and is limited to a maximum speed of 60 km/h.
Lexus has identified 36 units produced between January 9, 2025 to July 15, 2025 which may potentially have the issue. Lexus will re-program the ECU.
Both of these service campaigns is done free of charge to affected customers.

Its hard to trust toyota anymore. Let alone lexus.
ReplyDeleteJust trust china car brands that never issued recalls.
DeleteWho you will trust then a car brands that never issued recalls?
DeleteYou cant trust toyota and lexus anymore. They are recalls plagued, underspeced overpriced cars.
DeleteLOL 10M car buyers trust toyota and lexus every year. Just admit that you just cant afford a lexus. Stick with your trying hard copycat low quality china cars.
DeleteBe careful of what you say, you might seen driving one. but it’s ok to be balimbing now and then hehehe.
DeleteIf ever i will go for geely/lnyk n co/zeekr, has the best engineering quality among comrades, more european than chinese.
DeleteDuring the last beijing auto show, lots of toyota engineers scrutinized, took photos, measures every inch of a china made cars. They are learning and studying why china cars can make so hi tech quality cars at a low price point where japanese car manufacturers cant. Lets face it- china cars is the future.
ReplyDeleteFuture head aches, china cars maybe high tech but quality still LOW. Toyota's way to maintained quality is to add a little tech, add a little tech, add a little tech. You see toyota's latest offerings are more modern looking and tech at par with china cars.
DeleteThey know why they're cheaper. It's because of lower cost of labor, heavy vertical integration, and pure economies of scale. Things that Japan can't magically (or affordably) copy.
DeleteAnd to the guy above saying quality is still low, remember that foreign companies manufacture all their best quality stuff in China too so those processes that create real quality products are all present in the country.
It's not some cute attempt at playing copycat when you literally have engineers and skilled workers who are extensively trained to produce quality stuff. All you have to do is pirate them from the foreign company and give them the same tools (available locally) to make undeniably quality products.
If, after all that, you still think they would cheap out and build inferior products anyway then you simply fail to understand why they would even bother going through all of that in the first place if not to make ACTUAL quality products.
Does China still make bad quality stuff? Of course. But if you think that kind of quality is capable of selling millions of units within China (what more abroad) then you probably don't see the Chinese as people just like us who also don't want to get screwed when buying stuff (yes, it is - unfortunately - in their culture to take advantage of you if they can but that does not work in the highest levels of business where reputation has real weight).
Those who say that china cars are low quality, maybe they havent been to china and see the unbelievable structures, roads and bridges there. The car manufacturing facilities are so unbelievable in tech and robotics it will make the ones in thailand and japan looks like dinosaur age.
ReplyDeleteI have been to china multiple times. I have been to Europe multiple times also. I would rather be surrounded by tastefully done buildings with history rather than be surrounded by skyscraper s that looks like a big disco ball. Not all big new and shiny is better. It doesn't mean a building has millions of led lights it is better
ReplyDeleteI don't think using architecture to try and illustrate your point works.
DeleteBecause, think of it this way, let's say the old buildings have class, sure, and the newer buildings are gaudy, okay, but since we were originally talking about cars then we should be thinking about how their engineering and utility compares over just looks.
Modern skyscrapers have maybe a lifetime of, say, less than 100 years(?) and those classy old buildings have been around for more than that and still have many more years left (with good maintenance). So it sounds like the oldies are better right? It even sounds close to how cars are looked at right now.
But now compare the economic benefit/potential/productivity of the skyscraper during its lifetime vs the classy preserved building (even if it's also used for offices and stuff). The skyscraper will absolutely dwarf the oldie when looked at that way so in terms of net benefit, the skyscraper wins.
It's an interesting thought exercise but the way I look at it is; it is still in favor of the new stuff no matter how soulless you may perceive it to be. Aesthetics and history have their value but we're talking about what are essentially tools so to solely focus on those is to disregard the underlying engineering of it all.
China cars are disposable cars.
ReplyDeleteDriving the NX for 1.5 years now. It feels solid and it is reliable. Intend to keep it for at least 7 years.
ReplyDeletePoor quality control by Toyota.
ReplyDeleteLexus mainly sells vehicles that are rebadged generic Toyotas at over bloated prices..UX,NX and LBX all based on aging TNGA platform which shares the same platform with generic Toyota vehicles.
Lexus IS Sedan is a decade already.
