Qualified customers will receive an additional P 5,000 cash discount on top of the introductory price promo.
More details on the Destinator, including its full specs will be released on November 20.

its just an Xforce extended with worse fuel economy
ReplyDeleteDestinator uses a turbocharged engine which is the same engine used by the Eclipse Cross SUV globally but with much better intercooler system.
Delete1.5 Turbo uses more fuel than 1.5 NA, facts dont change
DeleteYou complain too much..Buy a DNGA Wigo or DNGA Avanza then
DeleteIf you can't afford fuel, ride a bicycle.
DeleteSo feisty. If it comes with just a 1.5 liter NA engine you’re gonna say it’s underpowered. Now it goes with a turbo for the extra kick you’re gonna say it has bad fuel economy. You expect a perfect car with that price range? Geez don’t comment just for the sake of commenting. You probably haven’t testdriven it yet.
DeleteI hope you can check the 2026 updated triton sir uly. It already has rear ac vents from glx onwards. I don't know what are the other updates from every variant though..
ReplyDeleteIt also gained a Tailgate Assist, before mabigat and bumabagsak yung tailgate, now may dampers na
DeleteThose introductory prices are really not bad, especially for the GT. The SRP of PHP1,929,000 seems to be quite a stretch for a vehicle of its kind, but it seems to be very worth it if its priced at PHP1,799,000. If we get completely specced units as Indonesia, the GT at introductory price is a good choice.
ReplyDeleteWhen will they release the full spec and features, etc?
ReplyDeleteCVT?! ewwwwwwwwwwwwww
ReplyDeleteToyota,Nissan,Subaru and Honda also use CVT
DeleteObviously, some commenters here don't own a car made in the last few years. Many brands and many reliable car models use CVT na po. Basa basa po tayo.
Deleteyes but they are not all equal in making cvts, Honda is #1 when it comes to CVT
DeleteIts competitors use a CVT with Turbo as well, 1.5 CRV? innova Zenix? Maka-comment lang talaga 😅
Deleteonly reliable CVTs are from Honda the rest are trash
DeleteAt least release a hybrid version
ReplyDeleteMitsubishi Motors Thailand will eventually produce one next year
DeleteThey cannot keep up with deliveries in Indonesia. Buyers are switching to competitors like CR-V or Zenix because of that. Can they keep up with deliveries in Philippines?
ReplyDeleteMitsubishi Indonesia reduced the production of the Pajero Sport and XForce in order to produce more RHD and LHD units of Destinator.
DeleteDeliveries of the Destinator units starts around February 2026.
I love this car
ReplyDelete1.5L CVT for a 7 seater = NOforce
ReplyDeleteIt uses a powerful .5 liter turbocharged engine which is the same engine used by the Eclipse Cross SUV.
DeleteIt uses a new intercooler setup for more efficient and smooth engine power delivery.
1.5 CRV? The current one is the same, may turbo also naka CVT, Zenix din 2.0 NA CVT
Deleteno more 1.5 crv Honda realized that was a stpid idea
Deletecvt? whyyy!
ReplyDeleteUnderpowered relative to competitors in the same 7-seater category and price range.
ReplyDeleteMight as well get a BYD Tang, Chery Tiggo REV or Jetour X70 Idm for in these price points
ReplyDeleteNah, all unreliable and low quality
DeleteAs if you can afford those Chinese SUVs.
DeletePretty sure sales of the Mitsubishi Destinator locally are gonna be higher than those Chery Motor Group's PHEVs based on the ancient Tiggo 8 platform.
A 7 seater w 1.5 cvt , im sure underpower yn lalo na pah puno at paakyat , as in avanza, veloz, rush, brv, xpander, mga 1.5 engine for city driving only but for provincial trips n uphills sure bitin yn,should be 1.8 or 2.0
ReplyDeleteMaybe you did not read properly. This has a 1.5 TURBO engine.
DeleteMitsubishi Destinator uses a 1.5 liter turbocharged gasoline engine.
DeleteThe Current CRV na priced at 2.1M is a 1.5 CVT Turbo din na FFWD 😊
Deleteeven 2.0 is underpowered for a 7 seater. 2.5 is minimum
DeleteAnother pricing blunder. They didn't learn from their xforce experience. It's a CVT equipped model so I expected a more affordable price range. I believe this will flop too like it's xforce sibling.
ReplyDeleteNah, I believe this will sell well. The pricing is just right except for the top of the line. It will attract customers and take a bite at the sales of Xpander, Veloz, Avanza, BRV
DeleteIts not for poor people like you who can only afford a 2nd hand junk kei car from Japan or DNGA Wigo.
DeletePricing of the Mitsubishi Destinator is just fine especially it uses a 1.5 liter turbocharged gasoline engine.
Mitsubishi XForce GLS is priced at 1.2 Million Pesos now when fully discounted in cash that's why the sales of it are good.
The sales of it are good??? Dipa nga dumating dito pinas ang kuching destinator. Read first and understand the article
DeleteI'm talking about the sales of Mitsubishi XForce locally and not the sales of Mitsubishi Destinator.
DeleteMitsubishi Destinator isn't expected to sell 10,000 units annually locally and its not meant for people like you who can only afford a 2nd hand junk kei car or DNGA Wigo.
Much better pricing than its Xforce sibling! Looks like they've learned their lesson. This looks like a possible hit for Mitsubishi PH, maybe another "Xpander moment" for them.
ReplyDeletePinoys love 7 seaters, GLX variant could sell like hot cakes.
ReplyDeleteis the price for the entry variant 1,389,000 or 1,289,000?
ReplyDeleteRead the story again.
DeleteThe price of the glx variant is very competitive in the market which isvery near the top of the line, mpvs
ReplyDeleteThis is the base variant with two airbags, smaller rims and analog gauges only.
DeleteThis GLX variant of the Mitsubishi Destinator isn't available yet in Indonesia.
Wow, a formula for unreliability, a tiny turbocharged engine mated to that JATCO CVT, only Mitsu fangheys would defend this 3rd-world only, pilit 7-seater crossover with only 3 years warranty.
ReplyDeleteA 3rd world vehicle for a 3rd world country, I'd say it's a perfect match.
DeleteWe all know you drive and own a DNGA Wigo and Avanza which are all low quality 3RD WORLD MARKET vehicles.
DeleteWag magselan masyado dahil hindi bagay sayo.
Billionaires in my area who owns chains of restaurants, industrial factories, chain of car dealerships and distributor of popular multi-brand foreign shoes own and drive 3rd world Mitsubishi and Toyota vehicles everyday.
1.5L turbo + CVT + seats 7, on a totally brand new mitsu platform? Im on the fence for now.....
ReplyDeleteMitsubishi Destinator is one of the Top 10 best selling vehicles in Indonesia last month (BYD Seagull is number 1).
ReplyDeleteMy guess is that Mitsubishi XForce will eventually get the 1.5 turbocharged engine of the Destinator in a year or two in order to improve its sales globally.
Haven't JATCO CVTs improved at all? Or are they still so unreliable?
ReplyDeleteJATCO CVTs are more reliable since 2020.
DeleteDNGA Toyota and Honda fanatics are so afraid and threatened with the Mitsubishi Destinator too much,
This car (with 7 seats) on PH setting can weigh up to 1.85-tons fully loaded. With a CVT mated to 1.5L-turbo at 250 N-m torque, it could be concerning (for now) particularly during up hill. The transmission wont break right away but the possible wear and tear to the CVT-belts could shorten its life in prolonged and frequent application.
ReplyDeleteHere is hoping Mitsu has really tested this car in "real world setting", otherwise, Southeast Asian customers are the guinea pigs. Plan for now, is to make-do with the current reliable Mirage and will probably upgrade to this (or Xforce) in 3-4yrs, just in time for the mid-cycle "refresh".
Mitsubishi Motors already tested this Destinator multiple times in its pre-production prototype forms in Indonesia where there a lots of steep mountainous roads similar to the Philippines.
DeleteMitsubishi Motors Indonesia and Japan changed the intercooler components and placement of the 1.5 liter turbocharged engine of the Destinator to make it more reliable and elimate turbo lag of it.
CVT transmission of it is very reliable so don't worry about it unless your a DNGA Toyota and Honda fanatic who are spreading fear against this SUV.
Anony 5:47pm stop making up stories🤥🤥🤥
DeleteThe water-cooled intercooler version of the 4B40 engine was actually first used in the latest generation Chinese market Mitsubishi Outlander (with a mild-hybrid powertrain) before Mitsubishi left China. Mitsubishi Indonesia simply took that powertrain without the mild hybrid for the Destinator.
DeleteLOL at the commenter that keeps talking about DNGA. Seems like a mitsubishi sales agent.
ReplyDeleteThe DGNA disrespect, calling people Mistu sales agents... All this fighting makes me want to eat some popcorn 🍿😋🤣
DeleteI'm now imagining crabs in gladiatorial combat 😂
Mitsubishi Destinator scored 5 STARS at ASEAN NCAP crash tests
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Mitsubishi Motors 🎉🎉🎉
Mitsubishi Motors Indonesia produced another high quality and safe crossover SUV
Pangit yan 1.5 turbo, tapos CVT pa! Not good for 7 seaters! Not enough for PHP1.5M!
ReplyDeleteHonda CR-V at PHP2M+: 😶😅
People think 1.5 turbo with direct injection is cool. Been there done that. I would never touch a car that has a small DI engine with turbo ever again, kahit na honda 1.5 turbo pa yan… never! Stay away from small turbocharged vehicles if you want to drive a car that will last!
DeleteL15B of CR-V is purely GDI (direct injection) so it needs frequent intake cleaning like a diesel engine. But it has best performance out of the turbo engines! Power outputs of 190ps is still one of the best among 1.5 turbo engines.
DeleteFor the 4B40 used in the Destinator, it is dual injection (one injector for MPI and one injector for GDI) so it still has MPI that cleans the intake from carbon deposits. This is a similar setup to Toyota's D4S engines (Dynamic Force). Not as good power compared to Honda's L15 but you will not need to clean the intake as much.
Other engines, like Suzuki's dual-jet systems, use two port injectors (MPI) for each cylinder. While their boosterjet engines use direct injection (only one direct injector per cylinder).
Any issues with fuel dilution?
DeleteSales of the Mitsubishi Destinator in Vietnam starts next year while the production and sales of the Mitsubishi Destinator HEV starts next year in Thailand.
ReplyDeleteMitsubishi Indonesia and Philippines really needs a Kia Sonet and Toyota Raize-like small crossover SUV if they want to attract more sales in SEA region.
