How Nissan's Participation In Formula E Is Helping Them Make Better Cars (And Vice-Versa)
When Nissan announced its commitment to race in Formula E until 2030, some thought: why participate in a series that’s considered niche? With Super GT being the only other racing series where Nissan participates as a works team, why not go for broke and go into something like Formula 1, World Rally Championship, or World Endurance Championship? The answer is a simple one, according to two Nissan executives.

Philippine International Motor Show 2018 is What the Car Industry Needs to Wake Up
As a whole, the Philippine automotive industry isn’t doing well. Citing factors such as the increase in new vehicle excise tax, rise in both inflation and fuel prices, and the devaluation of the peso, CAMPI says that they’re bracing for either a flat or negative growth for 2018.

NISMO is Serious About Expanding Their Business
To the average person, Nissan isn’t regarded as a sporty brand. Outside the sub-culture of drifters, where Sylvias and Cefiros perform excellently, the lack of souped-up Sentras or Teanas plying the streets of Manila create a misconception that Nissan doesn’t have a strong motorsports heritage (as if riced-up cars are sporty). Boy, that thinking is so wrong. See, Nissan has been heavily invested in motorsports. Since the 1960s, the company operated the Oppama Works and Omori Works to serve the needs of its privateer and factory operations respectively.

Nissan's Net Income Drops 57.3 Percent Due to "Reckless Pursuit of Sales Volume"
Nissan’s global operating profit and net income dropped 44.6 percent and 57.3 percent, respectively in fiscal year 2018 indicating that there are tough times ahead for the automaker. Naturally, Nissan CEO Hiroto Saikawa blamed it on who else, but Carlos Ghosn.

Review: 2007 Nissan Murano
When Carlos Ghosn announced the Nissan Revival Plan in 1999, rarely did he mention about making exciting cars. All he stressed were improved efficiency and increased cost cuts all in the name of reducing the Japanese company’s debt to zero. So why does the Nissan Murano exist? Having a well-balanced knowledge in costing and engineering, Ghosn knew that in order for his plan to succeed, he must change the way people look at Nissan. After all, it’s extremely difficult to sell a toaster for half a million pesos. And so, hot after the heels of the highly successful (and profitable) 350Z, it was time for Nissan to concentrate on a more voluminous market: the sport utility vehicle. In return, they got more than what they bargained for: it forever changed the way people looked at the Nissan brand.

The 2022 Nissan Qashqai is the 187-Horsepower HR-V Rival We Want
Nissan Philippines has a rather thin SUV line-up. While it does have the Terra mid-sized SUV and the X-Trail, it doesn’t have anything smaller at the moment (the Juke has already been officially discontinued). And while rumors abound that the sub-compact Kicks is arriving locally, they could pretty much slot this in too: the 2022 Qashqai.
