Isuzu Philippines is Looking to Produce This Special D-MAX Variant

Isuzu Philippines Corporation is previewing a possible special variant of the D-MAX pickup truck at the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).

Currently unnamed, this particular D-MAX looks to be based off the urban-centric X-Series model with its sporty blacked out grille, smoked headlights, and red highlights integrated in its front fascia. The tougher looks are then backed up by a lifted suspension and larger 18-inch all-terrain tires.

The beefed-up looks are backed up by is mechanicals.

Unlike the X-Series model, this D-MAX shares its mechanicals with the 4x4 LS model. As such, it has a 3.0-liter 4JJ1-TCX Blue Power diesel engine making 177 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque. Surefootedness on any terrain is guaranteed by its four-wheel drive system with Terrain command select dial.

Isuzu says that the D-MAX at PIMS is 100 percent showroom ready. Production is entirely dependent on customer feedback, they say. So, if you think the market deserves a sportier D-MAX, head over to PIMS and have your choice heard.

    1. Well to each its own preference and many like the looks of the dmax still. If the front is too old then probably the ranger's front is the same too but still sells well

    2. Listen Harold! This pick-up's front face was just recently introduced a couple of months ago. Then you are already complaining about it. If you don't want to see that look. Then don't use the Internet, simple as that.

  2. Too bad this truck looks bad ass in the outside but always using the same interior design which is very outdated Isuzu should also tune up that legendary 4jj1 engine with bluepower tech. which retained its torque to 380 same as before they should raised it up to 430 to 450 i guess which can catch up to.the hilux and navara...but yeah you dont pay the d-max for its techy features and gizmos you pay the d-max for.an outstanding built quality and reliability
