Foton Philippines Beefs Up After Sales Service with Service Truck


United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI), the official distributor of Foton in the Philippines strengthens its aftersales service capability and reach with the new EC Mobile Service Truck program.

This program allows official authorized mechanics using specialized Foton tools and genuine parts to provide quality service to a growing number of customers. “We are aware that not all of our customers are in close proximity to a dealership,” says UAAGI President Rommel Sytin. “That is a pain point we want to address with this new and timely service.”


The EC Mobile Truck is a Foton Tornado light-duty truck fitted with a customized body that pretty much brings a service center to a customer. It’s a self-sufficient truck that contains special equipment such as a 3.5-kilowatt generator, a 1.5-horsepower air compressor, an impact wrench, 2 large capacity oil pans, a creeper for underchassis work, and a wide variety of hand tools. It even has spotlights for nighttime repair. With this, the EC Mobile Service can perform Preventive Maintenance Service (PMS) as well as other minor/major repair jobs almost anywhere.

Additionally, the EC Mobile Service Truck Program effectively extends a Foton dealership’s service range. “We believe that people needn’t be inconvenienced unnecessarily by having to bring their Foton vehicle to a dealership for preventive maintenance work or repair,” says Sytin. “This opens doors for our dealers as well as realize greater business by freeing up workshop space at the dealerships.”


Currently, 5 Foton dealerships have signed on for the EC Mobile Service Truck Program: Foton Quezon Avenue, Foton Mandaue – Cebu, Foton Pasong Tamo, Foton A. Bonifacio, and Foton Matina – Davao. However, Sytin says plans are already in place to extend this service across the rest of their dealer network soon.

Together with their innovative EC Genuine Parts Program, where parts inquiries and orders can be made through a central hotline, the EC Mobile Service Truck Program benefits both Foton’s business-oriented customers thanks to less downtime and private owners who seek added convenience.
