Hyundai Modern PUV Rolls Out in Tarlac

Hyundai Asia Resources, Incorporated (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai trucks and buses in the Philippines, ramps up transport modernization initiatives, this time, in Tarlac province. Through their dealership, Hyundai Trucks and Buses Cabanatuan, 30 units of Hyundai HD50S Modern Jeepney Class 2 were turned over to the Tarlac-Moncada-Gerona-Paniqui (Tamogepa) Transport Service Cooperative, Incorporated, a major transport organization in Central Luzon with a 36-year history. 45 more units of Class 2 HD50S Modern Jeepneys are up for delivery within the year.

The symbolic turnover of the Hyundai key marks the beginning of a great partnership between Hyundai Trucks and Buses Philippines and the Tamogepa Transport Cooperative.

Hyundai’s presence in Tarlac via the HD50S Modern Jeepney Class 2 is seen as an optimistic sign of the region’s strides toward advancing mobility and ultimately, reinvigorating the economy amid the challenges of the new normal way of life. Powered by a 2.9-liter Euro 4-compliant CRDi diesel engine, the HD50S Modern Jeepney provides better fuel efficiency, reliability, and cleaner emissions. It is designed for enhanced stability and power-to-weight ratio, boasting a 3,415-millimeter wheelbase. The vehicle also features roof-mounted air conditioning, contactless payment using Auto Fare Collection System (AFCS), Wi-Fi, GPS tracking, CCTV cameras, 7-inch monitor, and speed limit warning buzzer. It can accommodate 22 seated passengers as well as up to 10 standing commuters.

The HD50S Modern Jeepney Class 2 received the Department of Transportation (DOTr) Certificate of Compliance (COC) in 2019 along with the Hyundai H-100 Class 1 Modern Jeepney. In 2020, the Hyundai HD50S Class 3 was also granted its COC, completing Hyundai’s power trio of fully certified Modern Jeepneys that meet Philippine National Standards (PNS).

The Tamogepa Transport Cooperative’s fleet of Hyundai HD50S Modern Jeepneys is ready to pave the way towards a better normal for the community of Tarlac.
