MG Hits 10,000 Sales Milestone In The Philippines

MG Philippines celebrates a special milestone midway into 2021 as the company released its 10,000th MG unit, less than three years since The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI) took over the distributorship in late 2018.

“Early on we at MG Philippines, The Covenant Car Company, Inc., acknowledged that the MG brand’s global recognition and rich heritage which chronicles almost a century of designing and manufacturing vehicles would positively resonate with the Philippine motoring public. With MG’s full range of new and exciting models equipped with premium features, that are aggressively offered at attainable price points, and served by an established nationwide dealer network, MG Philippines was optimistic that we would grow the brand and the sales at an accelerated pace,” says Atty. Alberto B. Arcilla, President and CEO of MG Philippines.

Atty. Arcilla further adds: “MG Philippines is thankful to mark this10,000 unit sales milestone, and we share this achievement with our 37 dealers nationwide, bank partners, and our valued clients. It is an honor knowing that thousands of Filipinos have trusted MG for their mobility needs. This trust motivates us to continue providing innovative, customer-centric products and services for a truly dedicated MG ownership experience.”

The strong performance of the MG brand echoes its performance elsewhere around the world including the UK, France, Australia, South America, and even India.

MG’s international outlook is centered around the brand’s “Mission 100” corporate strategy—which aims to achieve 1-million MG units sold globally while expanding to no less than 100 international locations by 2024, coinciding with MG’s 100th year anniversary.

For MG Philippines, the10,000-unit milestone further serves as a point of motivation for the company to continuously improve in all aspects: from continuing to introduce exciting and new products, to adapting and being up-to-date with ever-changing customer needs. And for MG Philippines, “10,000” is also a reminder that being in the service of the Filipino car buying public always comes first.

  2. Time for newer models. MG's ZS, 5, 6, RX5 has been there for sometime. Need fresher offerings like RX8, 5 and ZS found elsewhere.
