Thanks To Honda SENSING, Insuring Your Brand-New Civic Is As Low As P 2,346 Per Month

In January of this year, Honda Cars Philippines became the first local carmaker to leverage its advanced driver assist technology to help bring down the overall cost of ownership.

To recall, their partnership with AXA Philippines and BPI MS Insurance will see a preferred insurance rate applied to all vehicles equipped with Honda SENSING at least until December 31, 2022. These vehicles include the all-new Civic, CR-V (S Diesel and SX Diesel), and Accord. It will also cover all other models equipped with Honda SENSING, like the HR-V launched within the timeframe.

Globally, Honda has found real-world benefits of its Honda SENSING technology, particularly the Forward Collision Warning and Collision Mitigation Braking System with Autonomous Energy Braking (AEB) system.

In a study conducted by the U.S.-based Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), found that it reduced damage to other vehicles and/or property insurance claims by nearly 11 percent. Meanwhile, injuries to people in other vehicles or others on the road insurance claim frequencies declined about 28 percent. Globally, advanced driver assist technologies such as Honda SENSING showed a 27 percent reduction in bodily injury insurance claims, and a 19 percent reduction in property insurance damage claims.

These figures are enough to convince AXA Philippines and BPI MS Insurance to bring down the insurance cost of the all-new Civic to as low as P 2,346 per month (or P 28,152 per year). The coverage includes:
  • Own damage/theft
  • Acts of nature
  • Voluntary third-party liability/excess bodily injury
  • Voluntary third-party liability/property damage
  • Passenger accident worth P 50,000 per seat plus medical reimbursements
In order to enjoy the preferential insurance rates, interested Honda owners should apply for their insurance at their preferred authorized Honda dealership.
