Astara Is Now The Official Distributor Of JMC Pickup Trucks In The Philippines

Astara bags another brand for the Philippine market: JMC. One of the world’s leading mobility companies, and the exclusive distributor of GAC Motor and Peugeot, is now the exclusive importer of JMC’s pickup trucks.

The deal encompasses the distribution of new vehicles, parts, and services.

This operation strengthens Astara’s relationship with JMC after successfully operating JMC’s business in Chile, Bolivia, and Columbia since 2019.

The company’s primary focus will be to build a solid dealer network, achieve leadership in the pick-up segment and implement effective strategies to promote and strengthen the brand’s image and products.

Jorge Navea, CEO of Astara, commented: “At Astara we are honored to include JMC in our distribution activities in the Philippines. This leading brand stands as a great asset to our portfolio in the Philippines, aligning perfectly with Astara;s vision for the future of mobility. Our successful representation of the brand in other countries demonstrates our ability to serve its loyal customers, dealer network, and business partners.”

Suen Xiaoquan, President of JMIE (Jiangxi Jiangling Motors Import & Export Co., Ltd.), “We are delighted to collaborate with Astara in the pick-up vehicle market. Together, we will offer more choices, better options, and exceptional customer service, all designed to meet the evolving needs of the market and exceed the expectations of Philippine consumers.”

  2. JMC Vigus,Vigus Pro and Grand Avenue are decent pickup trucks that are still using Ford Puma diesel engines
JMC commercial vehicles and trucks are still distributed locally by Universal Motors

  3. If the price is right it's good for the buying public. GAC is in transition to be successful after Legado bad management takes over by Astara aggressive marketing campaign. But for its Peugeot it's doing well but not enough. A bit pricy considering it is made in neighboring Malaysia.
